I know this might be asked before, but:

Is it safe to buy a 360 now???

I already went trough a RROD failure, still, i like the platform, right now i own a WII and a PS3,

Thing is, the new 360 production is tested that will not do the RROD again? anyone own one of this systems already?

Of course it's still "possible" but much less likely now. Now the standards are in line with the PS3's failure rate which is very low. Since the smaller die cast chips started being implemented in the 360's the failure rate has dropped dramatically.

The newer 360's are MUCH more stable and your chances of getting the RROD if it is in a well ventilated area are VERY low with the new models.

Wow...even if it does RROD, you can just send it back to Microsoft and they'll send you another one back within a couple weeks, for free. When my PS3 blu-ray drive crapped out, they wanted something like $150 to fix it, and $50-60 for shipping. Screw that. I gave it to GameStop. Some other poor bastard can deal with it.

You can always get a store warranty from a place like Best Buy...35-40$ and you can just go switch it for a brand new one whenever you have a problem.
