Maybe I am part of the rare few but I actually really enjoyed the game. Heck I even enjoyed it more than a lot of the MUCH higher rated games, yes I am looking at you GTA 4, Halo 3 and Red Dead. Maybe I enjoyed it so much because it was actually something a little different and knowing me that makes a difference since I've played over 1k games. Heck when I was 13 I got a blockbuster gold card for renting over 200 games. Also it was one of those few games that actually immersed me in the environment
It is unique, but, it can be frustrating and annoying in parts, the voice acting is very bad, and storyline seems to lack good imagination, but other than that I thought it was ok.

IMO GTA 4 wasnt as good as the critics say i give it like a 7.5 it was really realistic but wasnt as good as San Andreas it was actually TOO realistic
I def feel the hate for Alone and the dark is over exaggerated. The game is far from perfect but there have been much worse games. All and all it was alright .Getting close to the end and finding out you hadn't burned enough trees was def a bummer though.
