no but seriously, I rented this and am about 6 hours in and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Sure, the controls are SOMEWHAT frustrating at times, but to say they ruin the game or anything like that is being a bit over dramatic in my opinion. The music in this game is fantastic!

I gotta agree with you the controls are my biggest gripe and the story is a bit weak but other than that good game

My thoughts on Alone in the Dark:

I would say that Alone in the Dark is definitely worth getting. I really liked the demo and played it many times, so I bought it and I am almost finished with it.
To me it is a really great game that is alot of fun, very original, really different, and is such a refreshing change from every other games out right now. Alone in the Dark is easily a 9 out of 10.

I liked the game didnt really find an issue with the controls apart from some driving sections but i did like the game. It has some great moments. Like you said the music is one of the games strong points.xxmatt125xx

Yes the Driving sequences are a bit tedious, but the first driving event is actually quite fun.

there are some things wrong with it, but i still enjoyed most of it.
