Am i gonna get owned in halo 3 online?

i am jst now getting xbox live and have halo3 will i get owned in the game i mean i think i proplably will but answer the question, and will people make fun of me cause im a noob because im i an unstable mental state...jk and i do understand i will get made fun of everywer i go by at least 1 person but do they do it like every match, thanks guys

Nah dude, theres alot of people just starting and i don't think the people will be to hard on you. They never were to me anyway.

At first you go to some kind of training mode in which you play with other "newbs" before you go play with all of the regulars. I forgot the name but I found it to be extremely easy after not playing Halo for years.

Online gaming is a different pace, so you might have a rough start, but you'll probably be able to pick it up pretty quick... multiplayer is just really all about learning the maps so don't get frustrated at first, it's a blast once you start getting the hang of it... As far as people talking trash, what I normally do is just start a party regardless of if you have someone to invite or not... When you're in a party all players in the lobby are muted, that's what me and my friends do that way when they get on they can just hop in the party, and if nothing else you don't have to listen to some 12 year old tell you how much of a 4-letter word you are....

No of course not, you start out easy. Everybody is differently ranked according by experience. When your starting off, youll be playing with other new people such as yourself. Oh and make sure to play ranked, some type of games dont require any ranking at all, like social slayer.

It's definitely different. The AI in Halo don't follow you through doors, strafe, etc. When playing against people, they strafe and people not only follow you but hunt you down (always watch your back!). You'll start out with other noobs though, so you should be fine. Also, if you don't want to hear other people, go to Xbox.com and change your privacy settings. You'll the most annoying, crude conversations if you don't.

This, you will be fine and it will match you up with people in the same boat. There are lots of new people to Halo 3 everyday, IIRC Halo 3 still manages to outsell games like Killzone 2 even though it was made back in '07.

As with any online shooter most people(shooter vets) won't pay to much attention to you because there are new people playing everyday.

Well, i have some advice for you. Assuming you don't have a high girly voice like many annoying XBL players, just tell the kids to hit puberty and then talk to you, or ask if hteir a girl or not.bronxxbombers

u prolly will at first. i remember when i just got halo 3. i really sucked bad. but i never heard anyone making fun of me so dont worry about it. but if u so worried somebody will just dont play with ur headset.
