Hey, today I was just playing some Guitar Hero and noticed that somehow the crowds had turned into groups of lines. I thought this was wierd so I decided to reset my 360. When I turned it back on and went into my games library I noticed all the text had gone strange and blocky.

So i decided to try some demos out to see if they were having the same problem. I first tried Flatout, which had formed some messed up shadows and strange blurriness in parts of tracks which weren't there before. So then I tried Jericho (Yeah it's bad but it was still on my hard drive) and the main menus background had changed into flashing blue and purple blocks. I turned it off for about half an hour, but when i turned it on again, the 360 startup vid has tinted itself blue and I'm am still having these problems.

Anyway I'm asking, am I heading towards another RROD, or will this go away? I was planning on buying a couple of games this week but now I'm kind of worried. Thanks.

Well, you get a 3 year warranty from Microsoft. You are lucky, no other companies would ever offer such a long warranty on anything.

I found it better when mine broke down on me, because now I spend less time worrying about it and I know Microsoft will get it back to me within a week.

(The new repairs Microsoft do are really really good)

So just dont worry, what happens happens, you cannot control it.

So you think it's gonna die? Ah well, it's happened to me before about 6 months back. I just hated talking to the customer service people because I can never understand them lol. Guess I'll hold back on getting some new games for a week or so then. So you say the new repairs are good? Have they found a way to properly fix it? Because as I said they repaired mine which died after 6 months of having bought it, and another 6 months after the repairs I'm having these problems, seems like they did a pretty shoddy job, like a quick fix but it's dying again. Have they found a better way to repair it or something? I really hope so.

From what I hear, you do not head for a RROD, it just happens for no aparrent reason, So its probably unrelated.

Sounds like the GPU is on it's very last legs there, so you'll probably end up getting either an RROD or a E** error.

And make sure your 360 has adequate ventilation on all sides, as it's probably slowly cooking itself inside.
