Just what is so great about Battlefield Bad Company. I just cant get into this game. I mean it tries to be a realistic shooter, but just like in Halo, unless you get a headshot, you should be prepared to unload a whole clip into a guy to kill him. Also, last I checked, dont grenades do uber damage when they land at someones feet? I have to say that CoD 4 is by far the better game of the two for so many reasons that I dont have time to go through them all!
This one is good becuase it is story based. The other ones were just you doing missions over and over, but this one is definatley the best. its no call of duty 4 or halo 3, but its not bad.

well, you need to unload a whole clip or it just wouldnt be challenging or fun. every 2-3 hits you give someone they wiill die and iif you want it so realistic 2-3 shots in the chest will kill you too and you will get mad because you keep dieing.

It took me quite some time to really get into and appreciate Bad Company, for one, I love COD so it was difficult to switch gears and learn Battlefields slower pace and yes, the unrealistic fact that you must put a clip and a halve into an enemy. But like Chrscnnn said, it would be rediculous getting killed every second in this game if it were similar to COD. The second reason being I consider Battlefield 2 the best in the series, and this game is much different then that one. But it is still a great game, if you give it the chance. Plus the upcoming patch and Conquest mode will nicely round the game out.
i like BFBC WAAAY better than COD4. i think the sound has COD4 beat 100 to 1. and the destructable inviroments are GREAT. who wouldnt want to blow a hole in a wall with a grenade launcher and kill the guy behind it. getting to drive a tank and a helicopter is the best part in my book. the maps are SOOOOO much bigger and better than COD4. i also think bad company has a better selection of weapons. and i think taking gold crates and soon flags (conquest mode) is alot more better and funner than CODs domination and search and destroy. the only thing i like better about COD4 than BFBC is on COD4 you can rank up to a 55 but in BFBC you can only rank up to a 25. in my oppinion BFBC has COD4 beat all around except in singleplayer. but dont get me wrong COD4 is STILL a great game. i got it when it came out and played it sooo much i had to quit. no not because it was runing my life (it was on weekends) but because of me playing it so much i think my xbox put a HUGE scratch in the disk. now if i put it in i usually get a disk read error or my system heats up too bad. i wish i could get it out but its scratched too bad. but over all BFBC just has so much more to offer than COD4.
I hate CoD4 too, so i'm not saying this in comparison to CoD4, Bad Company is not that good. It is just personal taste though, i can see how one could like it.
Single player was alright for me as well. I play the online, but the hit detection drives me crazy. I'll be knifing a guy from behind, right on him, and it takes forever. (Most of the time its an instant kill, but still...) And sometimes I'll unload a full clip, and the guy doesn't die. But other then that...I think its fine.
