Ok so I have Comcast High-Speed Internet, but I'm not sure if it's wireless or not or w/e. Also, my Xbox is in my room which is about 50 yards away from the computer, but like 3 yards cuz my bedroom is over the computer room. Could i like run the ethernet cable through like a hole in my room or what? then will i just be able to automatically get on xbox live?? will i have to get the wireless xbox thing that costs 100 bucks???

thanks for anyone who can clear up my questions and stuff

if you are using a ethernet cable then you dont need the wireless network adapter. Just plug the cable into your router and then it should connect.

Have a little patience. If the house is not yours, ask the owner if you can drill a hole through the ceiling and floor, it's a cheaper and faster method of getting Live. Wireless should be avoided at all costs when it comes to gaming.

if you can hook up an ethernet cable to your 360 from a router connected to your modem, either by running it through the house or drilling a hole in the ceiling of the computer room, you can get on Live. If you'd rather not worry about wires and have a wireless modem, you can get the $100 wireless adapter. I drilled a hole in the floor by my router and have it running underneath the house to my room, where i drilled another hole in the floor and have the cable running up into my 360. Cheap and easy if you don't mind having a small hole that can be covered with a desk or something.
