Am I the only 360 owner that thinks Halo is getting too much credit???

Now I know nearly everyone in the world is probably angainst me on this one but hear me out.

Just look for a second besides the fact that it's "zomgHalo3GOTTABUY" for a second and although i happen to own all 3 I dont see anything all that amazing about any of them.

You know Halo 1 was orriginally gunna be some dinosaur hunter, and the only reason it took off when it did is because there werent that many great games for the Xbox when it came out then look what happend after halo, a whole bunch more shooters came out that were a lot like halo.

Now Halo 2 i thought was a great improvement, I hated that vehicle were invicible and there was a whole lot to be improved apon. And they did in Halo 2 with swords in multiplayer, more vehicles, the abilty to lock onto thos new vehicles and shoot a homing rocket at them. And my favorite part of all the ability to set matches with oversheilds swords and rockets for some great fun with glitching. The new graphics were also a welcome new feature.

Now then Halo 3, I must say imo it was an over all downgrade from 2. I will say right off the bat my favorite part of this one was master cheif's adventure through what looked to be like the inside of someone's body. Straying away from that however the game was you tipical shooter just like the others with yet again a new engine displaying new unrealistc physics and SLIGHTLY better graphics that 2. Honestly the only difference i saw was the water in select few portions of the game, an anoying blue light bloom during every explosion in single player and some more reflictions. NOw for the down grade,. I'm not sure about the rest of you but I get a little tired of the same thing over and over again even if you are online with new people or a slightly different game type. Let's face it it's the same thing, Your still just shooting each other just after that someone may go fora a flag or w/e. The great fun in Halo 2 for me was glitching, and they seem to have removed all that from 3. There's no sword cancling rocket sword cancling, crack-jumping,trigger gliding etc.... Even more upseting that that was the gimping of the sword and rocket. I miss my slightly longer sword gliding and rocket targeting.

Halo 3 woulda been a 5.0/10 if i was rating it... IM not one to be soldalone on the fack that Bungie made it, you gotta make it how we liked it...

I never liked the Halo Series much, but you made some good statements with halo 2 and I realize that it's probably the best of the three for what they're worth considering that the 1 player is pretty bummer except for halo 1 it okay*

Seriously though, Halo 3 is merely overrated. If people gave it the right ratings, I wouldn't hate it.

thehalo series does get too much credit, but that dosen't stop it from being a great trilogy with solid gameplay and a original story.

I'd give all three a 7.5, becuase thay get boring after a while.

I have quite a few shooters that i think are better. G.R.A.W. (both 1 and 2), Gears of War and Bioshock, just to name a few.the05birdman

I think halo 2 doesnt get enough credit for what it did for the online portion of consoles. It provided such a great experience and personally lasted me from the release until this summer that just passed (started to play halo 3 and i did take alot of breaks, i didnt play halo 2 for 3 straight years). If you know how to have fun, this series will last you for a very long time. But, everyperson has differenttastes and perceptions,but still doesnt take away that this is a greatseries.

The Forge and Theatre are inspired. Actually those two features alone, not including the fact that there is gobs of new stuff all over the place make Halo 3 deserved of all it accolades thus far. If you don't like the style then that is your right, but don't try to bash a perfectly fine game.

It just makes you come off as a silly fanboy.

The whole halo series made me a fan of FPS type games, sports games til then. Will always love halo.

Same thing can be said about COD4.

And there are still SUPERBOUNCES in Halo 3. Not crackjumps. And I don't know what you've been playing but the rocket/sword glitch was patched up for a while.

And games aren't meant to have glitches.

So you hate it because you cant cheat with cheap glitches and cause its the same thing over and over again? News flash every game is repetitive, you always do the same thing over and over again in every game whether it be FPS, RPG, Sports, or Racing you always eventually play in a giant loop of the same thing. Games like H3 are always great to go back to cause you have so many options and extras to keep the game interesting and fun just like H2.

Also the addition of Online Campaign Co-op made H3 that much better, making you want to play it over and over again with friends just for fun. I think its people that overhyped this game, they expected a god of a game and were disappointed when it didn't have every single thing they ever wanted in it which no game has, every game has flaws its the pros that count and H3 has more then enough of those to make one of the best if not the best game for the 360 IMHO.

Yeah u right. BIOSHOCK IS TONS BETTER THAN HALO 3. I bought halo 3after reading its review but it seems like i have got my money wasted. Man its is highly overrated. I m sick and tired of the halo series.

My fingers r crossed for sequels to games like BIOSHOCK, ASSASIN'S CREED, COD ETC....
