I dont know why but i dont favour the game. The combat was undesirable and so on. The only thing nice about the game was the freedom in exploring the world which was beautiful.

The game play to me was decent in fallout 2, but now that I know what to expect in Vegas I say thanks but no thanks.I dont know why but i dont favour the game. The combat was undesirable and so on. The only thing nice about the game was the freedom in exploring the world which was beautiful.

You'll always someone who dislikes something, you really don't need to ask. I didn't really like Fallout 3 myself. The animations were really robotic, alot of the characters shared the same voice actors and I found the environment to be really dull, unexciting and dreary. So to be honest, my main beef with the game was the presentation. I'm sure some people might find that to be superficial of me but if the game isn't in a world I find interesting then I'm not going to keep playing.
I understand part of the reason the game didn't look to sharp is because of how much there is in the game but personally I'd rather play something more focused and linear with a higher degree of presentation any day. Alot of open ended games make a lot of big sacrifices for it.
i enjoyed fallout 3 when i started playing it, i thought it was oblivion but with a different setting but after about 10 hours of play i started to dislike it but i guess thats because i was comparing it with oblivion which i can still play today and not get bored with it, unlike fallout
Nope your not the only one. I've tried playing Fallout 3 now like 4 times, and can never really get into it.
Just like some of the previos posters said: everybody has their preferences. As for me, i believe that Fallout 3 is a masterpiece of a video game. I have said it many times, in many diffrent posts, but a game of this large scale will, without any doubts, not be perfect. The whole idea behind the presentation of Fallout 3 is what makes the game exceptional. Every little thing in the game is better than good. That being said, it means we have good graphics, good sound, good plots (main story and side missions), freedon, good leveling system (Oblivion's one sucked big time, even though i do not like the level cap in Fallout 3 neither) etc...All these good pieces make the game great. You can count how many games perfect more than one thing in their development? Other than Mass Effect (exceptional graphics, sound, story), Bioshock (exceptional graphics, sound, stroy) and Dead Space (the same as the other two) there are not that many.
People complaining about the environment? Well, it was supposed to be a post-nuclear world. Of course it will be brown, grey and devastated-looking. This is the idea of the game.
One thing i really like about Fallout 3 (along with the many many other things of course) is how fresh and humorous and witty some of the dialogs are. I mean the game is plain hillarious. Anyway that's just me though...
In a nutshell, everybody has their opinions, but what is most important is that we should try to percieve every game for its initial purpose and idea behind it.
Just because i did not like Alan Wake, i cannot say it was a bad game. it was a very good game with exceptional graphics. Just because i do not like the Halo series, does not mean that i do not appreciate what the series has brought to the XBOX community and players.
It took awhile for it to grow on me but now it's like one of my favorite games. I'm not super hyped for Fallout NV but I know I'll wind up getting it eventually.
The Five DLC packages are actually better than the original game if you guys have even tried them out at all and this game did come out a few years ago and was on par with any quality titles out at the time.
no, but you are part of the very few
game is great, but it shouldnt be held aganist u if u dont like it
on that note, i really dont see the point of this thread

It's weird and I see I am not the only one who thinks this
I LOVED Oblivion. To me it was one of the best games I have ever played. But with FO3 I just could not get into it. I tried playing it 3 times and I still could never get that "it" factor. I respect the game and the similarities, but I could not for whatever unknown reason get sucked in and enjoy it like I did Oblivion.
I didn;t care for it. I got finally after a year of friends saying that it was heavenly, and godly fun. I finally rented it, played it for 2 hours, and returned the next day out of my 5 day rental.
The combat was meh, and just about everything else had little appeal. Search for your father (nicely voiced by Liam Neeson as the only redeeming factor) in the midst of an end of the world "world", and do other quests, aliens, etc. along the way.
I may be over generalizing as I didn't play that much, but really from what I did it just didn't grip me to do that much at all.
I really really didn't get on with Fallout 3, I put about 12 hours into the game, but didn't like the setting, the story or the gameplay. Which was a shame as i'd read so many positive things about it, i felt like i was playing a totally different game to reviewers and my friends, so it got traded in pretty quickly.
I played the game for 2 hours I tried to be patient and see why people like this game but man, I was bored to death so I returned the game to my friend. im glad i didnt buy it
