I think it's overrated. It's not very fun at all. The online is really boring IMO. It's just another generic shooter. FPS of the year would be CoD 4 for sure. It's fun, addictive, and has good maps. Halo's maps are not fun. Only a handful like High Ground, Valhalla, Sandtrap, and Last Resort. So yeah, not very fun. So your not the only one.
Ok, since you hate Halo 3, why do you hate it? I've always wondered why so many people hate that game. From what i've noticed from a few people who hate it, they either say something about it being too popular, or they're "fanboys" (no offence to anyone) to other systems, and refuse to play it regardless.
I personally enjoyed it, along with about every shooter i've ever played (that's a long list).

agree, i regret getting it :( i though it was gonna be one awesome game, but then it disappointed me :(
Due to time constaints, I'll keep this list simple.Ok, since you hate Halo 3, why do you hate it? I've always wondered why so many people hate that game. -Matchmaking is broken.
-Melee System is broken
-An assault rifle and 2 grenades cannot kill people sometimes.
-The online community, when you actually do get into a match, sucks.
-I payed 60 dollars for it.
Anything I'm forgetting?
*Oh and as I stated in the other thread, I don't suck at the game. Sorry fanboys.*

-There are insanely stupid glitches in the game, like when a ghost flies over you and clearly does not hit you from looking at the film clip of it...but you magically die anyway.
There isnt as much crap in Fat Bastard's toilet as there is in that game.
Very unlikely if you are.
I don't hate it when yu first get it and play through, but after 2, maybe 3 playthroughs, all gameplay and areas seem boringly repetettive with no multi choice sections and about a mere 1-3 hours of playtime makes the game not worth it and no where near the other two.
'Twas quite good first playthrough, though.
I am no fanboy. Although my 360 is new., I have and love both the 360 aqnd hte PS3. I dislike Halo because it all felt very bland to me. There wasn't much variation in enemies to shoot at and guns to shoot them with. I think when it finally dawned on me that the game really isn't anything special is during the fight to the control room. I hated that level. IT was one corridor after anotehr. Each one bland looking sci fi stuff and each one identical to the previous. The story was kind of cool, but that's as far as I go with liking Halo. If you ask me, the game that deserved the popularity that Halo got was Red Faction. That was a badass and extremely fun game.Ok, since you hate Halo 3, why do you hate it? For me, if enviroments are going to be repetitive like they are in halo or enemies are going to be reptitive, I need something else to cover it. Take FEAR for example. ARe it;s enviroments repetitive? Yes. ARe you fighting the same enemies throughout the entire game? Yes. Is it fun? Oh hell yes. Why? The enemy AI in that game is the best I have ever fought against. IT was brolliant. It was also creepy. Very very creepy. I thought the story was decent as well
