Everyone hates the headset that comes with the 360 but I'm had mine since the 360 came out and I haven't had one problem with it at all. I can always hear fine through it and it doesn't give me any trouble.
I got an Elite for Christmas and the wired headset that came with it died about two weeks ago. The microphone works on it but the speaker died. I can talk to people but I can't hear what they're saying. I took good care of it and it just dies, I don't know what happened. Headsets aren't covered under the warranty are they?
ive had my 360 for just over 2 years and ive had to replace the headset like 4 times. thats $80 that ive wasted because microsoft doesnt know how to make anything that wont die after a few months.
am in envy of people who have no problems with their headset.mines either choose to partially break or completely die...:( on my fourth one now and luckily no problems....yet. £60 on headssets, kinda depressin lol, oh well....
I've had minor problems. Only 1 instant happened and everyone heard a load booming sound when I talked. I took the mic out and whacked it off something and it worked fine.
I dont know how your guys mics lasted so long. Ive gone through at least seven or eight since I bought my 360 in june of 2006. The mic that lasted me the longest has to be the one I have now. Its the regular microsoft one but microsoft made a couple of changes to them.
