How do they actually do that? I can't imagine how to get a load of black and grey lines to create an exact representation of someone without it just coming out like a smiley face...

Why do you assume he has no life? He could have just spent 2-3 hours a day working on it... it's his form of enjoyment, because he can produce something incredible. You probably think it's a waste of time because you can't produce the same results. Also, if he can do this with a bunch of shapes, you can only imagine what he can do with proper tools.

I sure as hell wouldn't. Some people are just using these cars as a canvas, instead of actually making a really great looking paintjob that enhances the car.
