To put this in context, i live in rural area and as such, have a fairly slow connection of 1 megabit. Now normally when i go to download a few things from the marketplace, after the first download, it gets excruciatingly slow to get to the next download i want since most of my bandwidth is going to my current download. But after getting the preview update i noticed getting around the marketplace takes much less time after the first download. Maybe there has been some kind of optimization to data flow to the console? Anyone else with a slower connection notice such a thing?

Considering the extra features they are adding seems to use up more bandwidth - getting updates from facebook, lastfm etc., then I guess it makes sense they would focus on improving general performance. I really hope that is true because the dashboard is fairly slow for me when I am looking for content to download - especially when I already have something downloading it takes an age for other menus to open

i think that since so much data is going to be streaming to your xbox for facebook and netflix and all the new features that they are going to make some changes and help with bandwith issues. It only makes sense that if more water is being used u get a bigger drain so it doesnt pool up... figurativeley speaking of course haha
