God damn!

Just... God DAMN. I shouldn't have to research whether or not I'm going to be getting a hard achievement due to a glitch -- because I didn't research it first. The R6 Legend achievement aparently has some bad rep -- and I was fooled by it so bad. Beat the game on realistic last night, and behold, no achievement. It was nearly a litteral kick to the crotch -- like there was some sort of fine print I didn't read before signing the new campaign contract way back at the start.

I have a good feeling I know what I did wrong -- I started the campaign selecting "Normal" then after completing the first two scenes of Border Town, I went back and used Scene Selection to do them over in Realistic. According to the game: that's out of bounds, and I don't get the points.

Now I have scenes of Dante's inferno, the theatre especially, haunting me that all the work was for naught. It looks like I'll have to play through again some time.. but I'm not looking forward to it for about the next year.

Ubisoft, aside from the seemingly missing splitscreen multiplayer, what is wrong with you. *boot-to-face*

I got sympathy for you. This happened to me too. I didn't bother going back and trying again.

Just realize too that you weren't playing on realistic. So, when you actually do, it will be even harder. I only have one mission left. I'm going to just be happy with beating it on normal. There were some parts I had a hard time with. Can't imagine playing them on realistic.

It is a weird one.  I went through the whole game just loading saved game and I think what happened was during one mission I had to restart it because the game froze up, then I started from a checkpoint or from the specific mission I had unlocked and didn't get anything at the end of the very lackluster ending.

same for me Everyday a couple people start a thread like this. I know I'd be pissed to replay the game and not get the achievement.

Actually, I was playing on realistic. 2 Grenades, and I usually go down in one to two hits. The problem was that I STARTED my campaign on Normal and switched it directly afterward. That sucks. I thought it worked like in Gears of War -- where the game keeps track of what act you finish with what difficulty.

On realistic, Dante's Inferno is the type of HARD that isnt FUN. Its just furstrating and angering. I didn't count, but I KNOW I had to reload the last checkpoint from dying at least over 135 times.

Yeah, I mean at least it won't be TOO hard to do the game over -- now that I know what to expect pretty much everywhere. When I did Border Town over in Realistic, I blew through it in about 20 minutes. I think I died only once in the tunnel part when you only have your pistol.

I r not hppy cuz no I not get acheemnt. Piss i r muchmuch. acheevmnt shows proof me complete n +100 gamr pnts. [enough of that.] The game was alot of fun, though, don't get me wrong. It was one of the most challenging shooters I've played in a long time. It was a little too challenging at times, but I never quit. I was a little pissed there wasn't an ending, though. -- they pulled off a Halo 2. Its just amazing how much achievements make you WANT to play and unlock them. Its like, for the first time for me, a numeric score MEANS something -- like a status of power.

I agree with whoever said you shouldn't be that mad - because the first time you reloaded a game you started playing on normal again. I encountered the legend glitch as well, I played the game through scene by scene to get the legend achievement

Rainbow on realistic was some of the best times I've had so far on my 360 - a lot of fun

if you really enjoy the game, and aren't just going after achievements (which is silly) then you shouldn't mind playing through it again

that is how rainbow works, it keeps trakc of everyone you complete separately
