Aye.. I love my exclusives. Something about a game being exclusive does the brand justice to the developer and fans. In this case, I guess publisher/developer aren't satisfied with commercial sales and are going the multi-platform route. I guess I can't blame them? They fund and make the games, that they poured their blood, sweat, and tears on. Does it constitute for a better game, better sales, by going multi-platform? Not necessarily. But from sales trend, it does reach a wider market of gamers.dead rising 2...... going multiplat...

You're right. We've been seeing a lot more of price drops, promotions, all round in the past months. Probably having to do with the slow economy.and lost bungie..... reach being their last title. without halo ms has no mascot. So Sony got Bioshock and Dead Rising ooooooooo. Microsoft got Final Fantasy, MGS and Resident Evil. Kinda thinks that beneifts the 360.

Also i own all 3 current gen consoles!

It's kinda hard for devs to keep games exclusive now that the price for developing them has gone up. This stuff doesn't really bother me at all, but if it makes you feel any better the 360 will receive exclusive content shortly before the game is released, Dead Rising Case Zero.

Halo series stays with MS. So you can see more Halo games in future.
And? Just because more people benifit doesn't mean we LOSE anything. It's just something for ps3 users to bully us with. Devs get more money, they can make a better game because it will sell more, what do we actually lose? I only have about 2 360 exclusives anyway. Multiplatform games are good too! :)

i know ms owns the ip but i dont think 343 has what it takes to make a title rather than keep up with the online.exclusives are what makes a console a console. And? Dont think thats the case any more in this day an age..We have seen ips come to the 360 an others go to the ps3..Look at ff13 they cried about that coming to the xbox...Its one huge sony exclusive that came over this generation..Dont think its viable for companies to stick to one plat form any more..Just makes more sence to multplat so they can make more cash for themselfs..Cant blame them there either..After all money is what makes the world go round..
i totally know that its great for the dev but owners of a console like it when they have some type of exclusivity.
You seem way to concerned about the PS3, and if you don't own one it shouldn't affect you. If them having Dead Rising seriously "worries" you than you're way to invested in the 360 and you've become a fanboy. There will always be good exclusives for both consoles Microsoft and Sony will make sure of that and a good game doesn't stop being one simply because it's on two or more consoles.

Only to fanboys.
i own both consoles so im no fanboy but the ps3 is coming into its own now so all the devs are jumping onboard, they are even starting to use the ps3 as the lead platform on multiplat games now which says it all really..i dont really care,i just get the best one so im happy either wayninjanutta
Such as?
Who cares. You still get to play it.
exclusives thats are not made by in house studio. Are a thing of the past and soon i doubt there will be any.Another good example would be BioShock series. The first one was on the PC as well, but still console exclusive (no PS3 version). Then came BioShock 2, which was a multiplatform, although the game wasn't as impressive as the first. And, I dont think the sales were that mighty impressive, as you can tell with the quick price drop in recent weeks.Elian2530Bioshock was later released on the ps3..

So much wrong in this thread:?
Okay, firstly, Dead Rising 2 was ALWAYS multiplat, so you're a bit late.
Secondly, the 360 is still getting an exclusive Dead Rising episode which is a prequel I think.
Thirdly, they didn't lose Bungie, they let them go independent, and even under the new Activision deal, the xbox will still be getting Bungie games.
Fourthly, Microsoft own Halo, not Bungie, not Activision. So Xbox still has its mascot, and the xbox will still be getting Halo games.

well, it wasn't ALWAYS going multiplat, they were debating on it for quite a while, as for all the other things, those are correctIf more people get to play it, isn't that good? in the end, its a decision based on profit, and if the company gets more profit, the next game in the series will be even better.
I still dream of a world where players 360s could play halo against players on ps3, i really dont care if its "exclusive"

exacalty people who just want games to be exclusive to their console are morons i think, i dont care if games are out on other systems, theres plenty of games id like to see go multiplat in xboxes favour, so i dont mind it being reversed at all. if they were less exlusives i wouldnt of had to buy a ps3 as wellI don't really care about dead rising that much and I really don't see whats wrong with it going multiplat. The only xbox exclusive I care about is Mass Effect and if that went multiplat I'd be pissed.

What? Microsoft still has Halo and I am sure they can get another developer to make the next Halo game. I mean it can't be that hard to do what Bungie did. As long as the new developer knows how to make the same game 3 times then they should be good.So Sony got Bioshock and Dead Rising ooooooooo. Microsoft got Final Fantasy, MGS and Resident Evil. Kinda thinks that beneifts the 360.
