Just a quick ask. Want to pick up my first old style RPG and was wondering between Fable 2 or Dragon age origins??
Thanks!

Avoid fable 2 for now. The game is short as hell.Hakud0ushimore of a button masher than an rpg too, but don't get oblivion...i describe oblivion like this: its good while you are playing it but once you're done you will be like "why did i just play that?"
Fable 2 is good but is a light RPG but should be cheap now, Dragon Age is amazing also Oblivion is mentioned get the game of the year edition as you will get the Shivering Isles as well. If you don't mind being a little bit retrospective get Knights of the Old Republic on the original xbox works on 360 truly amazing game.

Or not. It is aforum rule that you must post in the Stickies. Its because these threads are made numerous times a day and would basically fill the board with just too many Recommendation Threads. Its best to just have them all in one place.
I regularly/daily check the Sticky and comment on it. So I will answer your question there.

pretending to be a mod eh?No, I'm just being informative and following the rules. I've been posting on this board for quite some time and I've grown tired of all of the recommendation threads that are posted daily.
I also don't desire to be a MOD. This is my hobby, a way for me to escape a little bit and talk about my favorite hobby gaming.

well, the thing is, you saying "i'm not gonna post here" is technically off-topic and you could get some sort of punishment
hahahahahah i have been telling people for the past year to use the recommendation thread, its not against the rules to friendly remind someone of set rules. These threads do get locked and im sure (depending on the level and posts of the TC) the TC would be punishedwell, the thing is, you saying "i'm not gonna post here" is technically off-topic and you could get some sort of punishment

I'm sorry to hear that, I know Cogar was just simply trying to explain the rules and not trying to make you feel bad.

It's so much easier to post a thread. Have a couple people give some input and let the thread go. jonzilla_basic
All that they have to do is push the double arrow to the latest page. They post what game genre they are looking a recommendation for and what kind of games they have played in the past that would help us give out recommendations. Its as simple as that. We quote them and try as best as we can to give out a recommendation.
If you like giving out recommendations I suggest you visit the Sticky and help other members out.
