If you have your recepit and your warranty, all your boxes and packaging as well as your console being on good condition them im sure they would refund it. Just add money ontop of your refund and get yourself an elite.
If worse come to worse, Game are offering a £180 trade in on any xbox premium.

Exactly... because hella people will trade in their Premium. It's a stupid idea, really. I'd like HDMI as much as the next guy but given that the hardware is the same, I think I'll hold out for the smaller processor unit, because it'll be quieter... aren't they going to do something about the DVD drive eventually too? Like put one in there that doesn't suck?
I am a Best Buy employee, and I know for a fact that you can. Just tell them you have been having problems with your current model, since they have a lot of freezing issues, then return it and pay the difference.

Heh...when's the last time you saw a 20gb PS3 in a store? Launch? The 20gb PS3 is practically off the market, so in comparing Elite to PS3 60gb, the $120 price difference still makes Elite worth it if you don't already have a 360. If you already have a 360 then I can't see buying an elite.
I really doubt they will let you do that. But there is no reason not to try. You never know I got GRAW 2 like 2 weeks after it came out for $35 by price matching FRY's 2 week old add and it even saind coming out tomorrow on the ad and they still toke it.
The two year warranty is more a product replacement. So, if it breaks, they just replace it. Once the Elite comes out, pick up your 360 and shake the hell out of it. Something is bound to break in there. Bring it in for replacement and get the Elite instead. :)

Exactly. I owned the Core at first, and it broke, so I went to return it on my next day of work, and got the Premium, and paid the difference.
