Sooooo... I want to get an Elite, but was hoping to find it on sale somewhere, sometime soon, since Black Friday brought no good sales on the Elite. Since the only thing that ANY store has done is put the system in their ads, displaying a "low price" (retail) and hoping that some poor parent will by it anyway, do you think we will see different sales the Sunday before Christmas?? Frankly, I'd rather get up at 4 in the morning to get somewhere Sunday or Monday morning for a good sale than just give up and pay full price. PLEASE, does anyone know of sales that a store might *theoretically* have??
I think the new "lower" price with the two free games malarky is about as good as it's going to get until at least the end of the next quarter. I'm pretty happy with that myself, just praying I can actually find an elite this close to Christmas.
Oh man I can only imagine the horrors I would have to endure looking for a Wii (Oh that could so be quoted out of context).
Anyway I like the Wii but it's just not quite special enough to go through all that trouble, I'm waiting till the mad rush has died down to even think about getting one. I dunno why though, I've really been rabid about getting a 360 lately, probably cause I have no consoles at the moment, my large collection of games is safely out of my reach across an ocean. Anyway I'll be very upset if I can't get my hands on one, but yeah, it could be much worse, I feel sorry for those with their heart set on a Wii.

Well I'm english so I really don't know either, my cousin mentioned it to me though, it's supposed to be some sort of big sales day and you were able to find games at really cheap prices.
Black Friday is the day after our holiday, Thanksgiving. All of the retail stores have really big sales on that day. People line up outside of stores the night before lol. I work at Circuit City and I had to work on Black Friday, that day sucked.
As for the Elite going on sale, that won't happen. Video game systems are priced as low as they can go right now, they never go on sale, they just drop over time. It would be foolish for companies to put consoles on sale. When I bought my 360 Pro, I literally onlygot 53 cents taken off of it with my employee discount, soo yeah....
The best "sale" you get with buying a console is sometimes they will give you a free second controller.
