I ask this question because, is it a matter of 360 not being able to handle the game for some reason? Does it have something to do with licesning? What is the reason as to why it's not on 360? Because if it's something else other then a hardware issue, THEN PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS HOPE!!! 8O

I highly doubt it and it has nothing to do with hardware restrictions. Bringing an MMO to the ps3 is easy because PSN is free and charging people for an MMO works better there or the 360 though you have live to deal with. So far MS just hasnt been able to work anything out with MMO devs which is why there are so many canceled 360 MMOs. I guess they feel no one is going to want to pay for live and the MMO and their right.

Awesome reply man! Yes this def clears it up. I figured it was something like that, and not a hardware "Only PS3 can handle it" crap. The game doesn't look THAt... ya know, graphically crazy. lol. But yea, this makes sense, and sucks because you think paying $60 for like a year they could work someting out. They should have an MMO payment plan choice if people wanted. But I think it would confuse the "casual" gamers. I mean I HAVE PS3.... but i'd rather play it on 360. Oh wait, actually, I'm not going to be paying monthly to play a game I prob won't be on that much anyway...

There's 2. FF12 and phantasy star universe which actually was shut down on the 360 i believe. So that's proof that MMO's can be done but both of those games weren't financially successful at least the 360 versions weren't.

Its a shame really though. MMOs need to find a home on consoles and they will eventually .When it happens though it will probably be on a sony system first. MS needs to work out a way to reduce the cost of xbox live if your also paying for an MMO or something along those lines.

Yea, it really is unfortunate. So many ideas to be brought to life, so much fun to be had, but they can't because they can't agree on money. It's a shame. I think they should be able to do something be I think the benefits WAAyyy outway the disadvantages, even if the MMO makers have to cut the price by $5 atleast. ANYthing that would get the job done, I'm SURe would have them be making a lot of profit, for the amount of people that potentially want to jump on board.

Maybe one day Microsoft will take the ropes and push out an MMO exclusively for the X-box and then the payment you make for gold can be factored in to the price. For instance if you have gold you only pay 5$ to play but if your on silver it will cost 15$ a month to connect. Heck TooHuman was almost the same grindfest as most MMO titles just drop the dialog and add more quests and you could start there.

The odds of a game developed and published by Sony coming to the Xbox 360 are zero. That's like the next Halo game coming to PS3.

Why is paying 180 to play one game online somehow tied to 240 for Live?

Live is always 60 or less, the fees for one game have nothing to do with Live

Again, not sure how you're seeing this unless you're confused about Live's price

Although that maybe true, I don't see Microsoft advertising that "YOU DON'T NEED GOLD TO PLAY THIS GAME =D" cause they wouldn't want to advertise against somethign that brings in money for them. So basically the general view on this is prob "We are going to find it hard to ask people to pay all that money, and you don't want to lower your MMO price, so... no deal". Which again is unfoprtunate. There's prob so many GOOD MMO ideas out there that are held back because of how people don't want to sacrifice alittle money, for alittle pride... which can inevitably lead to more money in the future....

I'm not really a big fan of DC comics or the DC Universe game. I was more of a Marvel fan growing up so I'm glad we don't get this game if we got to pay a fee. Not really into paying Live's fee and adding on more money now to play a game online. It would be pretty boring after awhile for online play anyway with everyone being Batman or Superman. I wouldn't mind playing as Deathstroke one day because he was my favorite character in the DC world but it wouldn't entice me to pay a fee just to play as him.

The REAL reason we won't get this game is because Sony helped Produce it. Has nothing to do with paying monthly for a MMO.

To be honest I am kind of happy it did. Cryptic needs to stop making MMOs, or they need to slow down making them. Anyway Marvel Universe turned into Champions Online which then also became canceled.

Oh wow, I remember this trailer! I feel like it wasn't shown that long ago either. Dam, there surely is a lot of MMO problems if they keep getting canceled, or can't work out deals for them, left and right. Hopefully they can make a system that works sooner then later, like I said, potentially a lot of cool things can be done, espcially with a Marvel or DC MMO. .... IF done right ofcorse, where as lazyness doesn't resume for that fact that DC and Marvel are so popular, that they don't have to put any heart into the game.

I used to wish Star Wars: Old Republic was going to come to Xbox, but after this thread, it doesn't look like theres any hope =/

They did, FF11 was an MMO and you didn't need live to play it because it was already subscription based.

There ya go

I have no idea why anyone would say that Live is 240

Are you like, trying to cause trouble, or is there something your brain is just not processing? I want you to answer 2 questions for me. Question #1 Is Xbox Live NOT 59.99 for the year (atleast)? Question #2.... is $15 (a month for the MMO charge) times 12 months (12 months = 1 year) not = 180? SO THERE FOR 60 + 180 = 240! Considering most people have Gold if you have an Xbox, thats what people could potentially be paying a year for an MMO on Xbox Live

One more rebuttle from you about this and it's going to be clear that your just f'ning around, and trying to be stupid, and you will not be replied about this anymore.

MMO's don't need Live in order to play

I don't know why you keep on saying that Live is 240 dollars

Live is 60 dollars at most (though no one is paying that in the real world) so that's the price, I have no idea where you keep on getting 240 from since it's impossible for Live to cost that much.

No one "in the real world" is paying $60 for live? I'm pretty sure most Xbox Live user's pay for the Gold subscription so they can play with their friends online. Are you retarded? lol

So for someone like me, who pays for Xbox Live GOLD membership, if I were to adapt an MMO for my Xbox, and played it for a whole year, that would be my $60 a year Gold membership fee, plus $15 a month, which would be $240.

If your brain can't process this post, then there is something wrong with you. Or your playing stupid to cause trouble.

So, does anybody have the game yet? If so, how is it? Worth the $15 a month? lol

Everyone but you has apparently figured out s/he means it's silly to pay $240 a year to play a game on top of the retail purchase. Why keep arguing about it other than to be difficult?

You have it wrong too

If you buy a game that needs a subscription you only need to pay that subscription to play

It has nothing at all to do with Live

I didn't say I agreed wit him, I said it's not difficult to figure out what he's trying to say.
