As consoles become more advanced it seems the life gets longer. I wouldn't expect mention of a new console for at least 3 years. I always wait at least a couple years into the life of a new system anyways, that way there are tons of games to play and the price has usually dropped 25% by that point.

Just because a new system is released doesn't mean you HAVE to buy it right away.

I haven't heard anything, thoughI haven't exactly scoured the interwebs looking for news. Popular consensus seems to put the next Xbox a couple years off.
