i admit the games was very fun at first but now its just kind of boring. its pretty easy to get to level 4. The bosses and easy and get repetitive. you cant join other peoples online matches unless there you friends. only because if the person is playing single player and you want to join you cant because it just doesn't work. what do you think?hornymushroom

Afterthe first couple of bosses the game gets so repetitive. It's pretty easy to get everything to level 4 so after that the game just died for me.
[QUOTE="hama666"]Disappointment is inevitable nowadays for GTA clones.anime-2k3So every game with a open world is a GTA clone. I didn't say that. Revolutionary games with new ideas mixed with an open world are fantastic no doubt. But IMO im sorry to say that Crackdowns been done before, its just taken elements from several GTA clones.

I agree.
I jus started playing Saints Row cause I got my 360 about two weeks ago. I thought it was gonna suck like the rest of the wanna be GTA's but so far its better.

SOOOO true its funny tho the first couple days the game was out i was reading everywhere OMG CRACKDOWN IS AWESOME!!!!1! and as the days go by more and more threads pop up speaking of disapointment and "what next?"
the only thing I dislike is the fact you can soak up hundreds of rounds, but one grenade can kill you. its made a couple of parts very irritating since they really don't have checkpoints.ninjaxamsMy character can take 2 rockets and not die so not sure how 1 grenade kills you.

Anyone that says it is easy to get to level 4 on anything is full of it. I have had this game since the 20th and play it everyday and not got more than 3 yet and I beat all of the first gang. I am playing on rutless so I dont know if you play it on a easier setting if it is like that tho. Anyways this is the funnest game in years.

I've been so addicted to battlestation's MP that I have only played for a couple hours but I'm loving Crackdown - the achievement hunting in this game is awesome and the game just plays right - not every game needs to have a story driven plot or take a large percentage of your cerebral capacity to play
its just simple, mindless, superhero fun

Crackdown is exactly what it is supposed to be --- FUN!
Why does everyone have to question a game just because it isn't 50+ hours long and have 25 gameplay modes? It is a good game that in a lot of ways revolutionizes design by adding verticality to the equation.
Go out and buy this game. You won't be dissappointed.

It's a gta clone because GTA introduced the elements of traveling in an open ended city where you can kill anyone and take whatever car you can find.Pats of the cities are broken up intp sections and you can level up just like in the most recent GTA for ps2. It's not exactly like GTA but it is pretty close.

me too, thus guy has no clue what a clone is.The guy posting about Oblivion doesn't seem to know what he is talking about, or who he is arguing with.

I feel exactly the same way. Been playing it for about 2 days now and it has no rising action or plot twists to keep your attention. It is basically the same thing over and over again. You find and kill the gang leader, who is just like an ordinary gang member, only with more health, kill gang members, try different weapons, ride around, jump around looking for orbs, blow sh!t up....rense and repeat. Fun at first, yes, but after a few hours of the same dull play repeating itself, the game lost all appeal for me.
I will finish it of course, as I bought it, but I see myself trading this in after I beat it in order to get something else with lasting appeal that I can enjoy for awhile. I have been wanting LOTR : Battle for Middle Earth II. A nice long game that will hold my interest for more than a couple of hours with the same narrow, plotless, non-story, stale as old bread, repetitve gameplay.
Maybe it is because I am just sick of GTA and GTA inspired games in general because I burned myself out on these types of games playing Vice City to death....I do not know, but this game just got old REALLY FAST for me. I am not saying that it is a "GTA CLONE" either....just a GTA inspired game. It is a pretty fun game for a while though....just not what I was hoping it would be like at all. I guess my expectations were a little too high for this one.
I guess what people expecting is something like Oblivion that give you enough story and the world is still open to you.magicalclick
Exactly. It would not even have to be quite as long as Oblivion either, but yes, in my opinion Oblivion has the concept of how any and all free roam games should be in my opinion. A nice long, enthralling story to keep you invovled, with various side quests and enough stuff to do and discover in the free roam world that you will hardly ever get bored with it.
Crackdown has no real story, rising action or plot twists to keep you invovled. In my opinion, it is more or less just a game to goof off in, but has some gang leaders for you to dispose of when ever you want to get the feel that you actually have a "mission" to acomplish. It is pretty fun at times though, but a major let down for me, as I thought that it would be much better than what it is.
