I'm about to buy the elder scrolls 4: Oblivion, game of the year edition. I really want this game, everyones saying its amazing, but the thing thats throwing me off is that i'm like nearly 3 years late. =[

The game is still amazing right? What other reasons are there that could stop me from getting this game? (If there are any)

The graphics obviously aren't top-notch anymore, but apart from that you can't do anything wrong with Oblivion... As long as you don't hate RPGs that is.

its hit or miss, either you love it, or you hate it. It has its issues (what game doesnt) But for the price, im assuming 20$, you get the addons included, you cant go wrong.

---if you've played Morrowind, lower you expectations for Oblivion. lol

I don't LOVE rpgs, but I obviously don't hate them. I use to play them before, and I use to play runescape. I think i'll enjoy it reguardless.

Thanks for the comment. Anyone else?

the only reason not to buy Oblivion is you could fall in love with the game and hurt your social life lol. Buy it and never think back. There are a few things wrong but the sum of the parts is legendary.

If you're a noob like me who doesn't like the robotic animations and less than action packed fighting system. And if you don't have much spare time this game isn't your friends.

Oblivion is an awesome game. If you like RPGs then you should go get it. Very good game.

The only reason I can give not to buy it would be if you like going outside. I spent over 200 hours in the game. Very good, very addictive.

The graphics are still pretty good even today. Looking from the road to cloud ruler temple down to Imperial city is one of the greatest scenes in a game I have ever seen. There is so much to do and explore. If I had to choose only one game to play it would ceartinly be Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. You wont regret buying it at all.

Buy Morrowind GOTY first if you haven't played it. Then play Oblivion.

I just bought this game a few weeks ago and I'm up to 150 hours and not even close to finishing nor do I want to stop. So many side quests and places to explore, Cyrodiil is a vast and wonderful land filled with all the goodness that immerses you into this experience. Buy this game and Fallout 3 if you like good games.

Its worth the buy. I'm not exactly a guy who would load up an rpg usually unless its Final fantasy (and im not too much into that), but Oblivion was the buy i don't regret. first thing to remember though is to not put it down the first time you play it. I almost made that mistake which would have made my last spring break really even more suckish.

I have a level 48 and a level 37 and i still play to this day. Its amazing.
