I just lost my 360 to the rrod so now i have to send it in, i think it's goin to be a while b4 i get it back, so in the mean time i was thinking to get a an arcade system with the jasper chip set while my original system is away, cause i really want to play my games and at least i know i'll have a back up system. So really i was wondering if anyone with a jasper system has got the rrod cause i dont want to waist my money on somthing that might even rrod b4 my first system comes back from microsoft.

your first system should only be away for a month tops

no need to go get a new system over not even a month of down time

and if you can't go that long without gaming then you truly do need a break

No piece of technology is completely invulnerable to any kind of failure. Be it a video game console, a TV, a car, whatever. Even the PS3 can crash. So the idea that it's impossible for a Jasper 360 to fail is proposterous. The better question to ask is if it less likely to fail. Many improvements have been made over the original chipset so you could say that it would be less likely.

Sorry man, but that's a huge waste of money. It's less than a month wait, about two weeks really, and having a back up system is only going to collect dust. But in the end, do what you must

Mine 360 broke on a Friday, was picked up Monday morning, and was returned just over a week later on the Tuesday. No model of 360 is immune to RROD, but later models are less likely to get it because of improvements to the design

I have a jasper 360 and a while ago I got the RROD. The weird thing is that I just turned it off and then on again and it worked like a charm again.

Your system will be back quite shortly, MS have good service so dont worry. But yeah, Jaspers are indeed extremely reliable and importantly come with HDMI which helps a lot if youre a videophile. If i were you, i would just make the most of the system and wait till the 3 years are up, its going to die a few more times hopefully and you might eventually end up with a HDMI unit
