I didn't even know these things existed until a couple of days ago. It seems there are only three on the market for use with the xbox 360.

Tritton AX Pro- they are the cheapest in price for $160; Iheard these are excellent for the price

Turtle Beach X4- which are about $199; I think these may be overpriced and not as good as the other two

Astro A40- the most expensive weighing in at $250; I guess this is what the MLG team uses

Have you guys ever used any of these? What do you think?
Are there any others on the market I haven't heard of?
Thanks for the help

hat's too bad. Except these are a perfect ersatz for a stereo system. I just want to buy one and I don't know if this is all that is out there, or which one is really the best.

are your tv speakers broke? why would you want to pay that much to hear what you could hear from your tv? save your money for some better speakers if you want better sound. don't waste it on headphones.

Thanks for your tangential criticism but I am looking for head phones. Due to limited space, a need to be quiet and monetary constarints I have decided that 5.1 surround headphones are the best option. Do you have any familiarity with any of these products, or any suggestions?

I am guessing that since you had no positive input you were just spamming. If you never respond, my point is inherently proven.

Does anyone else have any input?
It would be greatly appreciated:)

Okay, thanks for the input. I am looking for 5.1 surround and of the ones I listed the x4 is the only turtle beach product I would consider.

I have to warn against the Turtle Beach X4's. I had a pair of those and they didn't even last me 6 months before one of the ear speakers died due to a frayed wire (and I was VERY nice to those headphones since they were 100 bucks). You do get great sound and the wireless is nice, but the X1's, the wired models, are far more reliable. I have a pair and love them. Best sound around.

X1's are far more reliable in my experience and the cord will easily reach 12 feet.
