Just curious... I figure that 2009 would be the year to atleast announce a smaller, sleeker Xbox 360. One that would be better against RRODs and more energy efficient. Any rumors or anything about it? Thanks...NickTheMayorits fine how it is and making it smaller only means the heat is confined into a much smaller space

anyway, the main reason I asked is because after a while, consoles tend to get smaller when it gets remodeled (example: PS2, DS, PSP, Gameboy, etc.). It's probably inevitable, I just want to know if there's been any rumors or talks about it.

lol 'obviously if they made a newer smaller model', well they arent because of the reasons i stated aboveits fine how it is and making it smaller only means the heat is confined into a much smaller spacewhat kind of logic is that? obviously if they made a newer, smaller model, they'd improve on how they run the XBOX, so they'd try to fix the heating problem.[QUOTE="chaoscougar1"][QUOTE="NickTheMayor"]Just curious... As much as it would be nice to make it smaller it isnt possible. The fact that the DS and PsP got smaller is they werent realiant on cooling devices like the 360 and Ps3 im not sure about the WiiIf you made an xbox smaller heat would get trapped easier because of smaller spaces also solving a heat problem might sound easy but how would that get accomplished? As technology gets better and the parts get smaller maybe but thats along ways away.
If you look at todays video cards running crysis there 12 inches long also like a previous poster said its basically a computer. But to answer your question no there hasnt been any rumors or talks ....yet.
Anyways but with todays economy just be glad the consoles are still being sold and not being cut for price cuts, are technology boom is going to slow down alot so we might not even see an xbox 720 or whatever for another console life span (typical 4-5 years) so probably not for 7 years.
Lol ok my wall of text ends.
