Well, I really want to get in the COD 4 beta, but I put in my real birth date (I am under 18)on my Xbox, and I think it might check how old you are while you try to DL the beta. Any way to change it?

If he can't even type right or pre-read his posts, then they obviously have an age limit on the Beta for a reason.

No I didn't. I said I was under 18. If you put the 8 and the ) next to each other, it makes that Sunglass smiley face thing.

And Haphilli, you are gonna have to tell a lot of people that, because more than half the community of M games are under 18.

Back on topic PLEASE?

Why don't you call Xbox and ask to change the age, I am sure they will understand.

Also FYI ESRB is really starting to crack down on minors buying M Rated games. Any violations of this by retailers are punishable by large fines and those responsible may lose their jobs. I bought two games in the past two days and was carded for both, of course I am over 18 but just letting you know. So make sure you tell your Mom and Dad.

:lol:Yeah I bet. Anyway, your best bet is to just lump it until the game comes out. We don't need a bunch of kids playing it anyway. I don't mean this as an insult but when you are older you will understand. We were all under 18 once and we dealt with similar things.

Hello, Microsoft, will you lie for me so I can get into a Beta?

That conversation sure sounds fun...

I guess there is no way :(. I changed my Windows Live ID but I doubt that will do anything. Actually I thought of something! If I create a new account using a "Free 2-day pass" thing, and DL the beta on that, will I be able to play it on my regular account?

Sounds like that might work, if the beta is downloaded like a demo.

I think so. Because what you do it get a "token" (code) from the website, you enter it onto the "redeem code" thing on the marketplace screen. And once it is DLed you access it through the "Demos and more" screen. (where you usually play your demos.

But can you play DLC that is on another account? Do you have to transfer it or does it automatically show up on both accounts?

You age is determined by what you said your age was on your Windows Live ID when you made the account. And you cant change that. So you'll have to make a new account.

I dunno why, but I kinda want to play it on my regular account. If I download it on the Adult Account, will it show up on my regular one? If I have to, I will play it on the adult account though.

But when you initially did it there was no birthday right? If thats the case when you created the account, MS automatically presumed you were a minor.

^^ No, I remember putting in my real birthday when creating the account. I just checked my Window Live account, and it still says I was born in 1980. (the date I put in today)

Well if you put in your original birthdate, it doesnt matter, it created your Account with settings for a minor. Doesnt matter if you changed it now, you had a minor account created and it wont change.

ONE LAST QUESTION hehe. If I download a demo (COD 4 beta but it acts the same as a demo) on one account, does it automatically transfer to all other accounts, too? Or do you have to do something to be able to play it on a different account? Or can you only play it on the account you DLed it on?

It will probably restrict it from being used, but its a possibility i'm pissed because i'm 15, and i can't play but i'm going out of my way and i got enough 48 hour trials to test it out so i'll try to play it. But to be honest with you i'm sick of kids that are barely over 18 saying garbage about us, most of the older people plus 18 don't need to play video games.

Age restrictions are in place for a reason. If you are not old enough thats just the way it is... I would tell you to grow up... but... that would be too much irony for one post.

haha lighten up guys.... like youve never made a typo? Ya im pretty sure you cannot change your age (to be the first to answer your quesiton) i would just make a one month free thing... if you have one left. And ya better get used to kids under 18 becuase if u havent notice theres ALOT on gamespot and even more on XBL. Treat them as mature people and they will return maturity back. When they become unmature is like when you say somthing like "you shouldnt be playing this game" or " i hate little kids"

Yeah, so this is only half on topic, but is there a way to change your gamertag while keeping your acheivements, friend list, and all that stuff? Or do you just have to create a new one and start from scratch?

Again, sorry for being off topic, but i figured i would save some time by not making a new topic and just posting here.

Actually, once you have set your Gamertag as a Child's account, there is no way to change it UNLESS you get a new Gamertag which will both cost money and start with 0 Gamerpoints.I have alreadytalked about this with Microsoft.

I understand that when you try to access Xbox LIVE Community Games, you may receive this error messages: "No Content Available" or "This account is not permitted to download content with this rating" I know how disappointing it is that you're unable to download mature games and content on Xbox Live. Please be assured that I will do my best to help you resolve the issue. This error can occur because either the Xbox LIVE Profile settings of the Xbox LIVE account or the Xbox 360 Console Family Settings block access to Xbox LIVE Community Games content. Here are some things that you can try to resolve the issue. If you already done all the steps below, you may need to call Xbox Customer Support at the number indicated below for further assistance. If the account being used is an adult account Xbox LIVE Profile settings To access Xbox LIVE Community Games, Member Content must be set to "Everyone." To make sure that the setting is correct, follow these steps: 1. Press the Xbox 360 Guide button. 2. Locate the Settings area, and then select Profile. 3. Select Edit Profile, and then select Privacy Settings. 4. Select Member Content, and then make sure the setting is Everyone. If this does not resolve the problem or if content is still not visible in the Games Marketplace, the content may be hidden by the Family Settings. Family Settings Family Settings can block the display of content that is rated lower than the setting for the console. To make sure that content is not hidden from view, follow these steps: 1. Press the Xbox 360 Guide button. 2. Locate the Settings area, and then select Family Settings. 3. Select Console Controls, and then enter the Family Settings pass code. 4. Select Restricted Content, and then make sure the setting is Show All Content. If the account being used is a child account Xbox LIVE Profile settings To access Xbox LIVE Community Games, the Member Content setting must be allowed for everyone. To check this setting, follow these steps: 1. Press the Xbox 360 Guide button. 2. Locate the Settings area, and then select Family Settings. 3. Select Xbox LIVE Controls, and then enter the password for the parent account that was used when the child account was created. 4. Make sure that the Member Content setting is Allowed. If this does not resolve the issue or if the content is still not visible in the Games Marketplace, the content may be hidden by Xbox 360 Console Family Settings. Family Settings Xbox 360 Family Settings can block the display of content that is rated lower than the setting for the console. To make sure that no content is hidden from view because of Family Settings, follow these steps: 1. Press the Xbox 360 Guide button. 2. Locate the Settings area, and then select Family Settings. 3. Select Console Controls, and then enter the Family Settings Pass Code. 4. Make sure that the Restricted Content setting is Show All Content. If you need to reply to this e-mail, please reply 'with history' (include any previous e-mail) or reference to Service Request Number 1100947009 so we can expedite our service to you. If you would rather contact Xbox Phone Support directly for your console's repair, you may call contact Xbox US and Canada Phone Support by calling 1-800-4MYXBOX (1-800-469-9269) at your earliest convenience, and we'll be happy to help you. We are open everyday from 6am to 10pm US Pacific Time. For international customers, please contact Xbox Customer Service in your local region. (To find the correct Customer Service number for your region first use this link http://www.xbox.com/en-US/ChangeLocale.htm to select the appropriate country and then use the contact number found under the support menu).
