yeah man. i just got done watching a avi file on my 360. just burn it to a cd and put it in the 360. go to your video's and press the x button. then just go to the cd that you put in and play your file. you will probably have to update your 360 to watch it, so you'll need live. hope that helps man.luke182777

I thought it only played origional or burnt movies from a disk

As long as your USB drive is in FAT32(which is the format they come in by default), then you have no problem. That is how I watch my Divx on my 360.

But i tried doing that some time ago and it didnt work and the format was avi so do you think all i need is the update? Or is there anything else i need to do?
