I have been thinking about renting it, but then again it does seem like a long game that wouldn't be able to complete in one rental.

Has anybody played through the game and has an estimate of length, or can give me advice on if i should purchase it?

THanks.

i have not actually played it but i've heard that the campaign is wicked long. There are so many missions to do in it and so many places to explore that it could occupy you for over 100hrs like oblivion did for some people. I think you should just buy it, unless u plan on not completing all the quests and just running your way through the main story.

If you played it alot you could beat it within the 7 days you have it rented out. You may not be able to do all of the sidequests and stuff. Its still a game worth playing imo.

Look, if you really want to enjoy tis game, then you should buy it, because I already finished it, and actually I just made half of the missions available and it took me more than 40 hours, now I am trying to find more quests, so I think is going to toke me another 40 hours at least.

The game can be beat in 20 hours if you dont do every side quest.

I've been busy doing most of the side quests so I haven't yet, but I'm at the second last mission in the main quest.

You can easily beat the main story within one rental period but you will not be able to do most of the sidequests or even be able to explore most of the world.

I beat the main quest in about a week. I've been going back and doing the side quests.

fallout 3 isnt a game u can rush through on a time limit and get the amazing experience that is fallout 3! rent it and just play it, dont try to finish it . if you like it buy it or rent it a couple more times. or if you can wait 6 months rent it from gameslug.
