I havent played it for about a year or so now but even back then there was only a few hundred playing it which is a shame as it is a really underated game, i certainly had alot of fun with it

This is true but unless it's like 5 am it is a few hundred people all the time, so you will almost always find a match.
I think I made a similar thread to this several months ago. I sold my copy of blur a few weeks ago, its a good game, I just wasn't playing it anymore. The single player is fun, at least for a while. The multiplayer was awesome when the game first came out, but now its crap. Because not only is there hardly anyone playing, the people who are playing are all level 500 with superfast cars and loadouts, so you are guaranteed to finish last or next to last every race, and spend hardly any time actually racing/battling anybody. I would imagine its enjoyable still if you are one of the high levels and able to hang with everyone else, but if youre just starting out, forget it.
