I just got all the info and I'm supposed to send my Xbox 360 within 30 days and all that.

The thing I'm not sure of is if I'm to provide my own box and send it or will they provide a box that I send it in.

Thank you for any help you guys have. I just want to be able to play my 360 games a s soon as possible.

It happend to me about a month ago. They sent me a prepaid box, they should have told you that. Then I just had to take it to a UPS store. It took about two weeks to get it back. The cool thing about it is that I'm pretty sure they sent me a new one because it was made 12/13/06. Also it is soooo quiet compared to my old one.

I'm pretty sure the guy told me but when I was concentrating on all those numbers he gave me I forgot and then I remembered after I ended the phone conversation.

Just wondering how long before they gave you the box to ship it in?

I started to wonder that too after a while, but it took about 9 or 10 days. If it took them that long to mail me the box I thought it would be forever before I got a new one. But yeah once I sent it only took 2 weeks to get it back ( I was surprised). did't cost me a penny

Yep! and in the box is a sticker you put over your address with there address on it, then you mail it. I think you can have ups pick it up, but that I bet will cost you money. I just dropped it off at the ups store, just because I live about 5 min from one

My 360 broke right when gears of war came out and I had to send it in my own box. I was under the impression that they switched over to this several months ago. I saw a site for some guy who's pissed that they changed their practices so he was trying to raise money to send his second broken 360 in a huge shipping container. He wanted to do that because they say that they send it back in the exact same box that you send them, although I got my replacement in a different box.

Do you have to pay for the repair? I just sent mine in last week & had to send it in my own box cuz they only send you one if it's covered under warranty. If it is, you should receive a box, if not, you have to send it in your own & pay for the shipping charge. Also, if you had to send it, they would have given you an address to ship to which is in Texas, I sent mine Priority Mail to get it there faster.

Only way that happens is if it's under warranty, or you somehow slyly managed to guilt them into fixing it free because it was a launch console, if it wasn't a launch console, it probably is under warranty as they extended it to a year.

Since my 360 was under warranty they sent me the coffin. It took 7 days total, or 5 business days to get to my abode. It was no surprise since he told me that it was going to take 5 business days. The rest of the process is pretty easy. A sheet comes in the box with all of the instructions you need to ship it back. As far as how long it takes to get it back I'm not sure as I haven't recieved mine back yet.

Like I said, it's not a launch console, therefore it is probably still under the manufacturers warranty which is given to you from Microsoft, you do have that warrant for specified time period, all 360 owners do. Mine is a launch console, therefore out of the Manufacturers warranty, thus I had to pay.

mine was under warranty and I still had to provide my own box.  It was nothing, went to fedex,  started talking to the guy behind the counter about a bunch of stupid s***.  Then in the end I checked my reciept and no chrge for the box.

Yeah!! I got pretty lucky, I bought it back in 2/06 and they said my warranty was up in march 07. It broke about 3 weeks before it was up.

They add a year on top of the 90 day one. Which means you acually have 15 months
