Your Sig is so true...Long live ROCK!!!!
Off Topic Much?!
lol anyways I didnt even waste time downloading this demo because I thought it would be crap.... I guess I'll start the download now though after looking at these comments
I'm a long-term PC Civ addict, and I can tell you that this demo is awesome. I don't know what people are talking about when they say it's shallow. It's not, it's streamlined. There's a big difference. A straight port of Civ IV on the 360 would be a total disaster. What Firaxis has done is recreate the Civ series so that it can work on a console, and they've done a terrific job if this demo is a true representation of the final game.
I actually think that Civ really needed some streamlining in some areas, most notably in terms of managing workers, and the 360 version nails it perfectly.
After all of these comments i'm gonna download it. How big is the file? Also yes i'd go on live to check but i currently can't.craigalan23
It's about 1GB+.
I highly recommend it, even if you're not into RTS games.g8rs_fan
It's turn based strategy, not real time strategy.
Anyways, it's very fun, I'm going to buy the game for sure, not when it first comes out, as Tales Of Vesperia comes out the same day, but, likely a couple weeks after.

What?! I thought Tales of Vesperia comes out in August. I guess I'll have to get them both.

Yeah, aren't they both August 8th releases? Amazon.ca has them both coming on the same day..
Oh, I see, Amazon.ca is wrong.

See?
Tales of Vesperia is like August 16. Civilization is July 8. Unless the releases are different in Canada, which would be wierd.AngelsongCA
It's likely that amazon just screwed up.
August 16th is great, before university starts back up, and I have a week off work shortly after then.

You lucked out on that one. Cheers!
Yeah, its a great game but they should of not set a timer in the game. There are a few things that are not very good in the game but its still very fun. However, I do not think its worth the full $59.99 CND price.ISuperGamerI
Are you serious? If they didn't set a time limit, most people would never buy the game. They'd be happy beating it once on Warlord difficulty with just one civ.

Your logic does not make sense. Why would that stop people from buying the game? In mostly any other game demo, you can play at least a few levels (and sometimes Multiplayer) without timers and the consumer buys the game when it gets released. However, if a game demo has a timer, it only frustrates the consumer, especially in a turn-based strategy game. Why would people not buy the game if it did not have a timer?
The demo was awesome, I was surprised!
Probebly will pick this up in July sense there is no games I want coming out that month...
...But for June, Ninja Gaiden 2 here I come!
And August is going to suck, Too Human, Tales of Vesperia, AND Infinite Undiscovery.

i think he meant that if it didn't had a timer the people would play through the whole game with no limits, so he didn't referred to only a few levels of the game only, in my case i also hate timers, i prefer to play a fraction of the game without time limit, than playing as far as i can, in a hurry, with a timer.
