Did it blow me graphically away like I expected?
No.
Is it a good demo, sure.
Besides, I don't care too much for DEMO's since they aren't the final product.
The game will mostly be very similar to the demo, but still, overall, it's a good game from what I could ascertain.Â
the demo is the first forza game ive played because i used to have all nintendo systems but i think forza is way better than nfs even though i took some time for me to get used to itcorey81
Forza 2, and Need for Speed, are 2 completly different racer games...lol
Judging from most reactions I think I'm one of a few who isn't the slightest bit disappointed. The graphics are fine. I expected a tad worse actually. Having fully customizable and fully damageable car models (Forza 2) against having static non-damageable, non-customization car models (GT) is only expected to look better with the lastest. The graphics are fine. The gameplay is outstanding. I don't think I've come across any racer yet that does it this good. I don't necessarily love race games, but this is the first one that seemed addicting to me. The audio is also great. THe soundtrack is allot better then you're standard racing game soundtracks.
Definitely picking this up in Collectors Edition form.
wait for the real game to judge...its not just about graphics!!!!!!butterob
I think the game will be good, but about the graphics part...if that were true i wouldn't have upgraded to 360 and got a Wii instead....GT:HD and PGR3 raised the bar on racing game graphics, i'm hoping Forza can atleast match that.
Â
I dont think you can compare it to forza 1 (graphics wise) Because i played forza 1 today, and the graphics are no where near as good as forza 2 (kind of obvious i know) lol, You need to stop judging demos. Its getting really sad.. so many people are judging demos, and they come here to see if people care. Because at the end of the day. It is a game, and it does its job to entertain people.

Am I the only one who thinks PGR3 looks like crap? There must be some truth in it, since it was designed for the original Xbox. My eyes tell me Forza 2 > PGR3 and that's what matters to me anyway. I've had a ton of moments where someone thinks something looks crap and I think it looks good and vice versa. As long as I think it looks great, I'm happy.
wow you own it already :oTheBigTicket21
Â
right?...its a freakin demo, and only the "arcade" part of the game..Â
I dont think that the graphics were a big upgrade then the previous. Also it wasnt as good as the previous screen shots that released in the past. Anyone else agree with me?henriktxYeah, I agree with you 100% It let me down, but like everyone else said. Maybe it sucked only because its a demo.
I can't say that the graphics blew me away but Foza Motorsport 1 was a deep simulation. The only thing I really expect from FM2 is the deepest racing sim yet. The graphics are secondary when the difference between winning and losing is setting the tire pressure just right. Know what I man?

Stop making threads that already exist, this is like the 10th FORZA 2 topic.

Definitely, but there were no tinkering options in the demo, so I can't comment on the depth. The handling did feel varied between the cars and did feel good overall. The frame rate was super quick too.
I know its a demo (it does freeze solid every now and then) but I think graphics are increasingly important in games. A visually stunning game can immerse the player more completely than the same game with average graphics. Forza 2 should look as impressive when it comes out as the original Forza did when it came out. The new hardware can surely do it - I just hope the developers de-jag and de-shine things a bit.

de-shine? btw i agree with you on everything else
i still can't figure out how to turnccgodI agree with you. I got so frustrated that I just deleted the demo. lol. It's worse than PGR for that.

its easy just slow down and turn left or right.

Its pretty easy just have to practice which is whats fun about this. You have to brake down to like 60 to 70 mph before the turn and than just turn without touching brakce or gas and accelerate out of the turn use the lines to help you.

well PGR (which I personally think the entire series is rubbish) is an arcade racer that gives u points for flying around a corner and powersliding.
forza is a simulator, of course u cant turn at 250K an hour, thats just stupid. slow down then turn.. you dont drive around ur home city and take corners at 100K an hour do u?

I was impressed with the game too, i thought the physics were awesome and really fun to race.

Anyone else agree with me?henriktxyou never played the first one did you? go to the official site and look at the latest video of the ring. the game looks very good, and forza is about the physics, upgrades, and tuning more than the graphics. the great looks are just an added bonus.
I'll agree the demo wasn't very fun. That's because it didn't show any of the customization features. IMO that is what 's going to make this game addicting, that in combination with the physics and driving. There is nothing like saving up enough credits to get that next turbo kit or intercooler to give you enough horsepower to beat that race that you couldn't before or seeing and feeling the changes on the track after making tweaks and upgrades. I like the fact that games like this (ex. GTA3) me feel like a gearhead when in real life I don't even change my own oil. The demo doesn't show this stuff and maybe it shouldn't (it's a demo) but i can't help but feel it missed what the game is all about. I guess my point is at least give it a rent cause there is a lot the demo didn't show.
