I feel both ways about this. I'm disapointed because it looked so awesome, but i'm not because now I have 1 less game to buy this year and now they have time to make it twice as good.
This whole generation is delays. Prototype is a small price to pay though, Hell, I'm STILL waiting for a good game for my PS3. They keep telling me "In the future"
Too Humans delays are more disappointing to me though. Thank god for GTA4 and NG2
Not really, I just wish they wouldn't set a date if they later postpone it. They shouldn't announce anything until it's on the way to the retailers. That would be sweet for 2 reasons; 1. You know the game's coming, but you don't have to burn with anticipation for 6+ months. 2. .....well I guess that's it.
If it means that the game is going to be even better than is would have been, I'm willing to bite the bullet on this one and say its ok.Lord-Nerevar
thats the same way i feel about any game that gets delayed, but some times its for the worse because a better game could come out while that ones going to be released, and there sales could suffer
My two most anticipated titles for this year were Fallout 3 and Prototype. Those two games were to take priority over every other game this year. Now, it is only Fallout 3. I am a bit upset that I won't be able to play it soon, but that does open up time to play other games that I wouldn't have had a chance to play; a la Gears of War 2.

I totally agree I have never seen this many games pushed back constantly. And I also feel the same way about the ps3 finally someone that will admit it though, when you say things like that people just jump down you throat like you said it was the worst console ever.
Not as disappointed as Killzone 2 being pushed until February 2009. That overlapped my anguish for the Prototype delay. To be honest, Prototype looked too early in its development and I expected this to happen. When I read that they it was slated for Fall 2008, I was rather surprised. I just couldnt see this game come out this year.

Keep in mind that a lot of what we saw was either alpha or even pre-alpha in some cases.
Not disappointed at all. To say Prototype is ambitious would be an understatement. I fully expected it to be delayed as games like this huge are notoriously buggy. If they want it to run as smooth as possible, it needs to go through a rigorous testing phase before it's ready for release.
If I can wait 3 years (and then another 6 months) for the sequel to my favorite series of all time, I can certainly wait for a new unproven IP to make its debut.
Yes, this is currently my number one game I want, other than some exclusives for PS3. Although the extra time should allow them to make it at an even better game, so in the long run it will be worth it. Can't wait! Just another half a year, haha.
Yeah, I not really disappointed for them to delay this game. I be really mad if they delay Fallout 3, that my Number 1 game for this year. I love those kind of games.
