Anyone else ffeel that Black ops is laggy/choppy?

online, its not as smoothe as modern warfare 2. i empty a whole clip into someone and hit nothing but air. because its so laggy,

yeah ive had that too, but i've also had that problem with the other cod games as well. yesterday though it was a huge problem at times almost to the point where i didnt wanna play anymore. theres also some framerate problems in the online multiplayer. do you use a wireless or wired connection? i use wireless and i wonder if using a wired connection will fix the problem.

I've been having the same problem on a massive scale, and I totally empathise.

I can't really say whether it is the fault of the hardware or my own connection, which is pretty crud. I think I'll wait and see, maybe focus on campaign, until the opening flurry has died down. perhaps its just congestion.

i use a wired connection and STILL its pretty bad, im seriously about to go back to MW2 because atleast that game was smoothe as eggs, i definetely feel this isa step down in the series with the graphics and performace wise (some of the maps are pretty cool but most feel like they are set-up training exercises). does anyone remember if mw2 was this bad when it first came out? because if it was then there's hope for this game to get fixed.

Maybe cause 3.5 million ppl are playing multiplayer at the moment o.o ?...

I bet it's not what they expected and their servers getting abit laggy .

hmmmm...played 4 hours yesterday and didnt experience any lag. only hosts leaving, requiring game to modify for new host. its as smooth as butter.

The game is laggy/choppy because of the theater recording. If you turn down some of your setting you will see the chopiness go down...lag though wait for a patch.

edit: lol not pc forum. Same thing applies except being able to turn down settings xD

your one of the few who claim this, but the online overall is not as smoothe as mw2, the shooting and aiming is choppy or jolty and the framerate is not smoothe at all.

i played for 4+ hrs yesterday and never experienced lag once...it runs as smooth as MW2, from my prospective. Maybe your connection was lagging out? A lot of people on the lobbies had 1-2 bars...instead of the expected 3-4.

I never had any problem when MW2 first came out.

I'm waiting for a patch to fix the horrible gun sounds on BO, if it comes out, then I'll buy the game.
