Anyone else get the free MS points email? why not me?

so my friend got a email yesterday from MS stating they gave him a free 160 MS points because of the holidays.....I havent got that email yet, and he forwarded it to me to prove that he did

My friend received one for the avatar clothes, 300 points. I didn't get one and I have been gold member longer then him.

Maybe he bought something and MS rewarded him with 160 points? I do recall getting a email back in September or October stating if you bought a certain movie from xbl, you would be rewarded 160 points.2ndWonder

Just checked my email & had a new one from Microsoft. Just had advertisements, no sign of free points.

I got an email for a free Christmas sweater for my avatar...160 point value...guess that's not the same email...
