anyone else hates Lost Odyssey ??

i find a waste of time and money it didn't live to my expectations and turok too:?

Turok = yes. pretty horrible.

LO = no. pretty good.

Yeah Lost Odssey is great is all Ive heard with the length ranging from about 40-60 hours across all 4 discs.

I will get it during summer

I can see how someone could easily hate the game if they do not like turn-based rpg's. It's definately not a genre for everyone.JasonWI

If Lost Odyssey wasn't a turn-based role-playing game and more like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and/or Mass effect then I would probably get it, but I normally dislike turn-based fighting as I think that other games like this gets boring after a period of time.

Turok is atleast to me a really great shooter game with great gameplay, nice graphics, also the story is good too, and it has dinosaurs that will attack you and you enemy at the same time and that is a great concept in a game.

And why do you say that?! I would really like to know, so give a reason or reasons besides the quote that you said above.

I am 33 years old and I have played every video game console system that has released in the USA since the pong in the late 1970's, and I have a gaming pc that I build and update every year for the past 8 years.

Nope. Lost Odyssey is tied with Burnout Paradise for GOTY 2008 in my book (so far). The load times are drastically overstated, and the review here on GS was not based on the retail version of teh game.

This game is a must have for any rpg fan. The graphics are solid. The music is perfect.
And the story is amazing. Even the short stories you read which some are very sad Farewell to Hanna for one. The main character of this game reminds me of Squall from Final Fantasy 8.:)

Nope no 20 secs load time if you 360's lens is not very dirty. I have the Asian Version and it was really having issues with some people but I always kept my drive clear so it takes 5 secs for battle and 10 secs for new area. But seriously 20 secs I still cant say that data transfer rate could be reduced to half of the orignal by dirty lens. ASlthough some people did claimed 15 secs at the most.

You must only have one hemisphere of your brain left..... cuz that game is A friggin mazing. It has already replaced the whole ff series in my mind. and when kaim found his daughter on her death bed I damn near shed a tear. the ring targeting system is as addictive as crack. and there simply hasnt been a story this good in games in about 10 years. everybody who has both hemispheres of your brain, run out at a brisk jog to get this..

Im picking this game over the summer, so far i've heard good things about the game from Gamers, but the thought of reviewers giving it such a low score, does anyone know the reason?

i thought the same, but by disc 2 it's a lot more fun

LO has been a total breath of fresh air to the Genre. All these recent Crap RPG's that have been coming out on the PS2 ect.. the last well really 5-10 years have been horrible.

Its nice to play an RPG that feels like an Old School game.
