I downloaded the XNA Launcher from the GDC section of the Marketplace. Read the instructions (to go to Games Library, run the XNA Launcher, from there choose which game to play) but once I actually start the XNA Launcher it gives me something about not having a License and exits immediately.
Now I don't have a license - don't plan on making any games. But the information at the bottom of the screen read that these would be free to play through early March.
I played all 7 games shortly after it was released, and had no issues whatsoever. No idea how to fix he problems I just read...except maybe redownload everything?
You dont run the Launcher. Go to "XNA Creators Club" under "My Games" and hit the Y button to download the games. Once the games you want are downloaded, go back to XNA Creators Club and the games will be listed there like arcade games. You can launch the game from there.
I figured it out. After watching the video "how to", I went to the XNA section under My Games but still was unable to press Y. Went back to the Marketplace and found the XNA section and downloaded something different this time (was 7 meg, the first thing I downloaded was 9 meg). Regardless, when I went back to the XNA section under My Games, I was able to press Y to download the games.
I have to applaud the developers of these games! They definitely have that quick pick up and play feeling of XBL. Enjoyed Culture, Little Gamers, and The Dishwasher.
