Am I the only one? Don't get me wrong, I have CoD 2 but I have so many other shooting games like Gears of War, Rainbow Six Vegas, Halo 3, Orange Box, Gears of War, Shadowrun, Lost Planet, and a couple more.. gonna get GTA 4..

Anyway back to my question.. what makes COD 4 better than any of the said games and how is it so different? Maybe i'm missing out on a lot but I wanna here some opinions and if anyone else has passed on COD 4 so far as well.

No. Aparently, unlike a lot of people, I don't avoid getting popular games so nonexistant people will think I'm cool

I have it and havent stopped playing it since I've got it. Personally I'm not a big fan of online FPS, tried Halo 3, Rainbow Six Vegas, Medal of Honor; they were OK. But CoD4 has been addictive because of the ability to "level up" your character. More XP you get, the more abilities and weapons you open up and customize your playing to your liking. Like I said, "personally" thats why this game is worth having, others have different opinions.

I don't know if that's meant the way it looks but I have pretty much all of the popular games.. but I get the games that I think look cool or like. For example I like Monster madness..but everyone thinks it sucks.

I"ve rented COD4 but I haven't bought it yet. I'm going to though. I liked the game. $60 is a little pricey to me.

I was still happily playing Halo 3 multiplayer when CoD4 was released... and then, I had some other "must have" priority games on my list.

I only just played it for the first time two days ago, renting it... and I'm hooked. It really reminds me of playing SOCOM way back when.

As to why its better than other similar FPS games... the core gameplay is really the same as all other 'realistic' FPS games. However, the custom classes, experience, unlockables, and the in battle perks for killing sprees - such as radar sweeps, airstrikes, and choppers... are really cool features that seperate this game from the crowd.

I didn't get it, but I plan to. I do consider it 2007's GOTY. I just have other games I bought that I still need to play through before I buy more games.

I haven't got it yet. Its a bit expensive (NZ$108) for me. I usually buy games that are around the $70-$90 range. I only go over $100 if its something like GTAIV.

COD4 is something special. Great graphics, tight gameplay, and a couple nice "wow!" moments. I'm fairly certain you'd like it, if only there was a demo...

It's just something amazing. If you remember the online from CoD2 and compare the two you can really see how much work went into this game in making everything perfect.

Yeah $60 is way too much, I get most of my games by trading in old ones I don't play anymore. Keeps my collection free of uneeded games and lessens the impact on my wallet when I buy a new one. Cliffy B the creator of Gears said in an interview for games to become more appealing to people they need to be released at a starting price of $20 like DVDs and that $60 is excessive.

I've had it since the week it came out and it's my favorite shooter on the 360. Just something about it keeps me hooked.

I don't own COD4, but I rented it.

I don't have xbl so it seemed pointless to buy.

CoD4 is good, but I like Gears much better. CoD4 gets boring to me too fast. I still play Halo 2 for hours, but something about CoD4 just doesn't get me hooked unlike other games.

I certainly would buy a lot more games if that were the case... but it isn't going to happen.

COD4 for me might be the first game I play more than Oblivion. The $60 is well spent if you have live as their multiplayer is about as addictive as candy coated crack....fav game so far for the 360 since launch right next to Oblivion, but to each his own
