I logged into Live earlier and saw I had a friends request off someone called Simon Argent. I checked out the games he played which were Burnout and FN3,neither of which I have so he's not on my most recently played list or anything like that. Also, I'm assuming he's only just got his 360 as his gamerscore was only about 40. I've messaged him asking who he is, but haven't had a reply.

The same thing happened the other night whilst I was playing Shadowrun - completely random friend request from someone not in the game and someone who wasn't on my most recently played list. I posted this on an other forum today and one of the guys there said he had a request off some random guy too called Adam Davids. Very odd.

Sooooo...Anyone else had any random friends requests?

Yeah, most of them are probably from people from these forums or something.

I don't know why they decide to send them though.

Yeah, you're probably right. If that is the case, then why can't they just add a voice message or some text just letting me know who they are?:?

The mind boggles...

Yeh I agree a message explaining why they added you would be nice sometimes.

It's always nice with a little 360 activity other than games - Cleaning up your friend list is one of them ;) Maybe it's because I just got mine a week ago that I still find it 'fun' .. Who knows.

I deny them unless they're people I personally know or if they explain who they are in a short message or something.

 I'm usually the dude sending out random friend request, but thats at least for people who have crossed paths with me. Instead of being freaked out by these suspicious nice folk, try to play some games with them... see if their worthy of yer mighty digital friendship :P

I completely appreciate that it could well be someone off this or another forum, it would just be nice if along with the request there was a text saying "Hi saw you on Gamespot/wherever....." etc:D...Also, I only just added my Gamertag into my sig for the purposes of this thread, I used to have this one:

I removed it so people didn't reply saying "he's a Nintendo fanboy, don't listen to him, this never happens to me blah, blah, blah"...Overly paranoid? Probably. But I've seen certain threads on here decend into farce over lesser things:P.
