anyone else sick of tony hawk games?

I skate, so when the first one came out I couldn't believe there was a good skating game. I liked the series up to underground. Now there's a scheduled release for this year (9th game). I think they missed the boat on when to stop. anyone else agree?

I love them but project 8 was s***.

They need to find a good balence between raw skating and story.

Yeah I completely agree, I think the last great TH game was pro-skater 4 after that It all got wierd and comicy.

Project 8 was trying to bring it back to life but it did nothing for me tbh.

THPS 3! Best of the series.

The THPS series has gone downhill ever since it went to the regular Xbox and the PSX (PS1). They have recently been trying to add a story to it now and it's generally a lame one. Back in the day on the greatest THPS.... that's right, THPS2, I don't remember there being much a story. There was just go skate, do what's on this list of goals, and have fun. The game also featured the best music in any of the THPS games. Now in American Wasteland, didn't they try adding some hosh posh story to it which really sucked? Above all, they had Bam Margera in there. Gawd does anyone like him?

Anyway, even though the THPS series is getting worse I still end up buying and enjoying them for a short while. I also usually don't buy them anymore till there is a price-drop on the game at Fry's or EB. The re-play value just ins't there anymore. I've yet to play Project 8, but the demo was pretty fun. If THPS had a good solid online I might pick it up, but as far as skateboarding games go I am really looking forward to SKATE from EA.

I skated for 6 years, and i still do from time to time, and i really enjoyed Project 8.

In saying that, i hated both THUG games, and im exited enough about the possibility of SKATE being good, but somthing about the footage makes me think its a little "off".

I guess i really enjoy how polished the TH series is. Sure its crazy arcady, but u can just have fun doing small kickflips over kickers if u want.
