unlimited, unpunishedrespawns? This feature really made the game pointless for me and, as a result, i have hardly played it.

Nope, I still play it. Ive gotten both endings before but I think its fun so I keep playing, not as much as I used to though, but I still do.Shade-Blade

No Punishment? I found myself in a lot of tough respawn areas and ran out of all my ammo more than a few time so left with no defenses I'd have to look everywhere for left over ammo and supplies it wasn't exactly easy.
No. Because the gameplay and story were incredible. Something so small like that is no reason to stop playing.DrDazzle

I will never understand that complaint. Why do some people NEED to have the game force the difficulty on them. Have some initiative of your own and try to play the game the right way, and try not to die on your own. Why should punishment be what makes the game challenging? PErsonally i HATE dying in video games, so i avoid it at all costs, no matter what the punishment is. Thats what I did in Bioshock. To the point where I hardly ever died through most of the game. So I barely even used the vita chambers. I didnt really even care that they were there.
The game was too cool to let something trivial like that affect how much i enoyed it....i chugged along and worked around the little things that I didnt like. No game is perfect. You get what you put into it.

yeah...see the people that complain about having no punishment dont understand that after a few respawns, having to run around with a wrench actually is punishment. Death in the game is just handled so that its a little more lenient than other games are. And there is nothing wrong with that. I Guess these people have no imagination or self reliance to actually try to play the game the right way without dying too much, regardless of what "punishment" there may be.
I think the dev team should have stayed with the formula they implemented on System Shock 2about this deatha dn respawn situations...but for some CRAZY reason they decided to go EXTREMELY soft on people
But I guess if they did that people would be complaining about how HARD it is and how they stop playing

QFT. I don't think I died but maybe once or twice. Totally ignored the vita chambers and just concentrated on not getting killed!

same here. restart from a checkpoint, respawn, same thing, only the latter doesn't interrupt the flow of the game by making it reload. I know whatever damage you did to enemies persisted and personally i'd prefer if it didn't, but then big daddies would become impossible for the "less skillful" of us.

I prefer games with fast respawn and little punsihment personally. I'm an aduly and I have other thigns do, if I want to hate life I'll go play ninja gaiden for the NES. Talk abotu punishment.
i stopped because its glitchy as hell too much freezing and pop in i hope it gets a patch that actually does somethingnyoeWell, recently there'd been an update released for the game, because before I started my second playthrough, XBL wanted me to update it.
i played ot through once annnnnd.....i got 830 points and only need 5 more achievements...haven't played it since i beat it that one run through lol..to bad...it is a really good game HaDoKeN_NaTe
Same here, but I got 840 points. :) Haven't played it since though and I want to. Really enjoyed it.
Let me ask you this what game punishes for dying? I have not seen one single player game punish someone at all. All the others games guess what happens in death you reload a save or checkpoint.
Next time you want to be punished every time you die cut one of your veins under your arms or along your neck. This will cause lots of pain and discomfort.I mean you make it sound like any single player game makes it punishing to die. Only games that give you a negative are mmo's with xp penailtys in a single player you can just reload or cheat.
So what game has ever punished you for dying where you have to reload the entire game over and you no longer get achivements and you get shocked in real life?
