Anyone Else think Gears 2 looks Amazing? GOTY For Sure?

yea me and my friends are already detailing what we"re gona do once we buy the game. this is my most antici[pated game of the year, and i have no doubt that it will live up to its hype.

There is no way in HELL gears 2 will win GOTY. I havn't seen anything revolutionary and impressing about it or different from gears 1 to boot. I'm just coming off playing GTAIV and MGS4 Caveman626

The Way Gears 2 is lookin so far, from the amazing visuals to the outstanding new way to create Dynamic Multiple Figures on screen at one time, is makin me think that this Game will be one of the greatest. The multi-player looks so much funner and deeper than the regular Gears multi-player was, the new online screen shot system looks amazing and the terrific new executions,maps, modes and chainsaw battles look outstanding!! Im thinkin GOTY For sure, and if not some other game must blow everyone's mind away, cause its gonna be tough to beat this game, thats for sure... What do you think?soufan123

The only reason I don't see Geow2 getting GOTY is that other then a some new gameplay mechanics and expanded levels, there isn't anything new coming to the table. It's very hard to improve on something that is already solid. And to tell you the truth,I could care less about it getting GOTY, I'm just pumped for the game in general.:)

I still don't know what was so spectacular about the first Gears. I know a lot of people love it, and it sold very well, but I never really enjoyed the game. I've not yet finished it, but that is largely due to the poor dialogue and story and a few annoying controls keeping me from even being interested in playing any more of it.

Undoubtedly, Gears 2 will sell very well. The first sold well enough and has a large enough following that they are already planning to make it a trilogy and make a movie, so there is something about it that sticks with a lot of consumers, but I don't know if it is enough to make it GOTY. We still have several months to go with some pretty solid releases lined up, so let's just wait to see what happens.

Ok... I think it will get GOTY for 2 reasons.

1. Gears 1 was GOTY in 2006 with a limited multiplayer and at best a 5 hour campaign. WOW!!! Gears 2 has 10-15 hour campaign and as of right now 10-15 multiplayer maps with at least 6 different multiplayer game modes. Fast forward 2 years from the original and you have a foundational winning game platform from gears 1 that has been perfected and expanded. It is pushing the limits right now in Graphics and it preselling like crazy.

2. Gears 1 had a huge multiplayer following. It was #1 for online gaming for a longggggggg time. Look at last year. Call of Duty 4 won GOTY and it has a huge multiplayer following still.

If you know anything about gaming today. The obvious choice at this point will be Gears 2. Sorry guys

All I know is if Epic does fix all the bugs thats were in gears one and add all the things they have promised so far for gears 2, It will be a great game. (flame shield activated) Now if GOTY does not go to MGS4 it should go to GOW2 not GTA4. GTA4 is quit possibly one of the buggiest games i have ever played and despite the massive evironments and GREAT story the bugs alone should keep it from getting any awards.

In fact, i recall reggie saying that they had some big surprises for E3 on GTtv

bigger and prettier doesn't always mean better. they need to focus on making it fun.... and giving it a story.luke182777

Well if you didnt think the first one was fun, then there is nothing they can do they arent going to change the core gameplay mechanics just to taylor to the few people who didnt like it and screaw everyone else. And also they are doing a ton to improve to story this time around. do a little research before you make rediculous claims as such! haha :)

Personally I think Gears is the most amazing game ever and if Gears 2 lives up to what they have told and shown us, then sure it might have a chance of GOTY. But seriously for all those hardcore fans, nobody really cares becuase we are going to be playing the game regardless of what happens. Hope to see you on when it comes out :D
