Anyone else think GoW multiplayer gets old?

I picked up the game about a month ago and been playing since. The multiplayer is painfully repetitive in that the object of the game is to shoot the other guy with the shotgun before he shoots you. The controls are just awkward partly because the A button is used to sprint and get in cover, leading to unnecessary moves into cover. I don't know about you but this really gets old. Now, I know fanboys are going to flame me for this and tell me that I just suck, but come on people, I know the graphics are pretty but it's not all that great! Anyone agree?

i think people hating on GoW is getting old.

but seriously, i respect your opinion, but i disagree. Except it does get old if you play it non-stop. you gotta take breaks like previously said. also playing with friends makes it a lot more fun, that's all i ever do now.

Honestly I got bored of it after about 5 matches. The only reason I even own it anymore is to play occassional co-op with my buddies.nyc05

I enjoyed Gears' campaign more than it's multiplayer, honestly.

even though i think gears is the best 360 game out there, the multiplayer gets really old and for gears of war haters that think rainbow six vegas is way better in multiplayer, it is not. that game gets boring in a weekj-killer-316

RSV owns in MP, there's no denying that. And yes, it's way better than Gears. RSV has more of everything. More maps, more weapons, more match types, more players per game. As far as Gears being the best game out there?? Ha! I guess for some it's all about flash, not substance.

Ha very funny and sometimes true if you dont play for say two weeks and get on and feel a little rusty its frustrating. try diff game modes and download the new maps work on your achievements and work on honing (sp?) your skills with different weapons theres alot to do besides just running around with a shotgun and whining about getting the sniper rifle when all you do is get an active reload and down somebody and wait for them to bleed out. Im not saying thats you but its what alot of nubs do.

its silly to me how people say gears is better than r6v or vice versay when they games are so different. the only thing that they have in common is that you shoot people. adn honestly.

and all games get old. halo got old, gears got old, rainbow got old. especailly if you play them for hours on end only stopping to eat or use ther bathroom, i had gears on launch day, played if for like a month or two,, then didnt play it much at all for a couple months, but now i find myself playing again every once in a while. i just got rainbow six and at first i couldnt but it down but now i can go a couple days without playing. you just have to understand that all games get old are repeative

the title of "best" is all relevent to the particular person. i personally think halo2 is the best multi-player (and yes i have played gears, graw2, rv6, and battlefield and i amvery goodin all of them) because that just what i feel is the best game but of course there will be people that differ with me

Calling people noobs/newbs and what not is getting old and repetitive... We are all gamers and us people who have been playing games for a long time need to be more respecful and a lot more mature when it comes to labeling people as this and that. I'm not going to mention any other game because this isn't a topic for that.

gears is a rail shooter with 6 weapons! not much you can do differently each match. basicly everyone runs for a differnt weapon and plays "shotguns" in that area!

i do like the multi though even though i seam negative about it. lol

most people on this thread agree with me...

the definition of old changes from player to player.

to me, the game was old a couple weeks after it came out. it was hard to join rooms and when you finally got into a room, whole teams were just achievement hunting... only using pistols, or trying to stick grenades on people...
