I hope they drop the price, and get rid of the dreaded errors and problems, or at least lower the failure rates to 10-15%. Then i'll definitely buy it.

I forsee 120 GB Elites at $249.99 and Arcades at $149.99 with no games bundled in announced at E3. If the slim is a reality, then I could see that with a 250 GB HDD at $299.99 to challenge Sony's 120GB PS3 which is at the same price point.
What we all wonder is how the slim will use our old HDD's if at all and how long they will continue to produce the current 360 FATs.Sony discontinued production of the FAT PS3 as soon as they anounced the slim if not beforehand.
It shall be interesting and I for one would buy a slim for the living room to put next to the slim PS3 and I will keep my fatty in the bedroom where it already is.

I don't think it'll happen. Microsoft has plenty of money and won't drop it even more than they did during the holidays (winter)I hope they drop the price, and get rid of the dreaded errors and problems, or at least lower the failure rates to 10-15%. Then i'll definitely buy it.

the current ones already surppress chances of RRoD, I'd wager it's well under 15% too. not sure about E74 and similar errors, don't think they were ever *extreme* at least, compared to the terrible RRoD case.
I agree though, wait for a price drop, or some type of promotional, mine had a $50 rebate (which I never took advantage of:?) otherwise, they only have those type of things on the arcade models. so if Gamestop ever has $130 promotionals or Wal-Marts $100 arcade. I suggest you go after them and then buy a hard drive from E-bay. if you want a 360 sooner than later.
well RRoD isnt really a problem anymore unless youre running your xbox nearly constantly ... as for price drop ... erm if you'd asked before the rumours of a 360 slim then I'd have a rant at you about being the 1,000,000th person to ask that stupid question but if the slim is revealed at E3 you can expect the possiblity of a price drop but even if it does happen it will be a small drop, the 360 is already very cheap as it is, it certainly wouldnt be foolhardy to get a new one now even with the possibility of the slimI hope they drop the price, and get rid of the dreaded errors and problems, or at least lower the failure rates to 10-15%. NO, I do Not Xpect that Xbox will do a price drop.... untill NATAL. :)
Imo, when natal becomes "buyable"... then Xbox can come in packages with Natal. and price cut. :)
I seriously doubt Microsoft will drop the price of the 360 any lower than it already is.But new Jasper model 360s are more reliable so i heard. So you should go ahead and get one unless you want to wait for E3 to see if they will announce a 360 slim.
I wouldn't hold my breath for price-drops being announced at E3 or anything. They may announce some new bundles/deals/features coming out, but I think $300 is the lowest we'll see for the elite. Seems consoles have one big price drop halfway through it's lifespan and then it stays there.
How certain are the rumors of a 360 slim? I'm not sure what the point would be; it's not exactly a massive system to being with, like the PS3 was.
I wouldn't expect anything until Christmas. If there is a cut though, I'd think the Premium/Pro would go for £120 ($175) but the Elite will stay unchanged.
The consoles are actually fairly reliable now..most of the RROD problems have been addressed (still exist, but not as prevalent). And a price drop is a hit or miss..I think if there's a Slim 360 announced then a price drop is almost imminent.I hope they drop the price, and get rid of the dreaded errors and problems, or at least lower the failure rates to 10-15%. Then i'll definitely buy it.

i dont thinnk they'l make it more cheaper.....but yess after 1-2 yrs they'l think of it.As rumors say, microsoft is thinking ov xbox 720..if its tru then definitely it will go cheaper......Amiteshwar007those rumours have been flying about since the 360 came out years ago and official estimates put the next generation of home consoles appearing at 2012 at the earliest so dont get your hopes up to much
