Anyone going to buy The Darkness?

I think I might, their isnt many games for the summer expect for Forza and racing games, and I am not a big fan of racing games so I got to get something to keep me occupied. Anyone else feeling the same way?

OO...OO pick me...yeah i probably will I havent picked up a shooter for while so im interested in this one. Itll have to tide me over till Bioshock...itll be a loooong summer

July 31st, and yes I'm picking up The Darkness next Wednesday. :D

I passed up buying Shadowrun so I'm definately getting The Darkness. Because of a storyline and multiplayer and it's from the guys who developed Chronicles Of Riddick for the original xbox which was one of the games that impressed me. And here is the first review for it 9 out of 10:

i think it looks pretty sweet maybe if i have money i will pick it up..........but i need a job to get money so it doesnt look hopeful....well not any time soon at least

Did anyone else see the commercial during Monday Night Raw? It is great, and it has a Manson song. I'm not a huge fan of Manson, but the song sounded okay.BioShockOwnz

I turned on my tv and just saw the ending of it where it shows The Darkness. :(

I'm gonna pick up the darkness as soon as I can get my hands on it. Looks bloody amazing, and if it's made by the same guys that did riddick, it's going to definately be worth it. I'm just hoping they put a demo out soon so I can get a taste before it comes outKlaven

i'm probably going to get it on ps3 (actually looks a bit nicer from screenshots) as it's the only game to even slightly interest me since ps3 launch (uk)

besides i have like 40ish 360 games still to complete, must. stop. buying...

I have it pre-ordered already. I also went to Borders and bought the comic, which was a Special Edition comic to go along with the game's release, so it has the first set of comics from The Darkness and also the story that inspired the game.

The game looks awesooome.

Wow, some people really are passing up on The Darkness. Wait a month until it's praised by gamers and pros in the industry. The tune will change, and they will all be going to buy a copy. This is going to be one of the best games this generation, mark my words.BioShockOwnz

I don't buy them if they are. I want more value from my purchases outside of multiplayer. You guys may have become lenient on lazy devs, but I'm not gonna budge on this one :)

Wait, you have The Godfather and EDF?

They aren't lazy devs. If a shooter is over 8 hours long, then it often gets boring and repetitive. The Darkness has side quests and multiplayer that leave the door open for a ton of replay value. This will be one game you will look back upon as a great come next gen.
