One question about it, does my 360 need to be turned on to use? Because my 360 has the rrod and I want to keep my saved games.

Nice gamertag lol!

Dunno about datel xsata but when you send in your 360 for repair you only send the xbox in. You dont send in any wires or your hard drive so all your saves will still be stored on it when you get your new/repaired 360 back

The hdd must be powered to transfer data - I dont think itd word if its rrod'ing

Why do you fear loosing saves, you keep you hdd when you send it away

PS if you do use xsata be careful. I bricked a hdd by screwing around with the program
