Hey. I am not much into multiplayer games, I'll make a few exceptions of course, but I prefer to play computergames on my own, if I want to play with others, I prefer face to face games, like Japanese Chess (Shogi) or Chess, or Go, or just a good sparring match. Only reason I am on and about on X-box live is because I need it for certain game acheivements, which drives me potty. Mean game designers forcing you to trade and such.
I was the same way when I first got my 360. Then one day I thought I'd see what all the hype was about and I took my ethernet cord from my comp and stuck it in the 360. Honestly, multiplayer is better than the main story on quite a few of the games I've played.
i was like that. i had a friend and he kept always telling me how Online gaming is amazing and all that stuff. but i was happy playing SP games. till i got GRAW2 and i played it online. i was soooooooo amazed. and since then ive been a MP junkie.
I enjoy both. I love getting online with friends and playing some multiplayer games. And i love to just sit around and play some good single player games by myself in peace and quiet. It all depends on the mood i'm in.
I thought that at first also, then I played GTA 4 which was a blast online. Then got into COD 4 and WaW, and now Left 4 Dead. That said however, only a few games have great multiplayer.
Here's my story. I bought the X360 in late '06. I never really cared about online.I've always been into playing the single player and calling it a day. I bought the year subscription and played the hell out of call of duty 2. Then my year expired and I bought another one. Now I'm back at the point where I'll only play online if my coworker has the game. I mainly don't have time for it, that's my reasoning for not playing it as much as I used to. You should give it a go though.
i generally perfer SP games and i HATE it when games SP campain is poorly done or really short because the game focus on multiplayer but i do play quite a bit of halo 3 MP
You should give it a try for a month or so...you might like it. But it's not for everyone... I enjoy it because I have a competitive spirit when it comes to video games or sports. However, it's a lot more fun with people you know.
I just use live to try out demos, and get the updates. I don't play on live anymore, i'm silver right now hehehe. But this can change, because borderlands gonna be a blast.
At one point I didn't have an interest in multiplayer games until I played Rainbow Six Vegas and Modern Warfare. To this day, I still prefer a good single player campaign opposed to multiplayer, but the online aspect of a game makes them replayable.
It's not so much that I'm not into online gaming, I'm just bored with most of the same ole deathmatch shooters. I prefer coop, or a multiplayer game that is objective based. I also really like what EA has done with it's hockey franchise in recent years, NHL is one of the few games I play versus in. That being said, I am dying to get into Borderlands with my buddies.
