Retailers will sell it for around $60 still as it is still selling well. I really don't see a price drop until the sequel comes out retailer wise that is. Your best bet is either Craigslist or Ebay.
Damn that bites. Maybe I can find it used? Maybe not...I made the mistake of buying Halo 3 used and I can't play some levels of the campaign because the disc is messed upRetailers will sell it for around $60 still as it is still selling well. It said $55 used at Gamestop the game is still pretty popular so retailers will keep on selling it for near release prices.
dont get COD4 now, its too late. COD:MW2 is comeing out in november and its gonna be pretty much the same idea but improved. COD4 has no multiplayer campaign, and relly will get dropped dramaticly once #2 comes out.
Get WaW since its a different experience and exact same price. Has 4 way campaign (2 local 4 online), nazi zombies, online is just as bad as 4 no matter what anyone says, just as many spawn kills.
I think its a better game than 4 but modern warfare 2will continue the the ladder and rise above, but cant say i miss the semi auto sniper rifle, bolt action made it alot harder to snipe, thus people have realised snipeing isnt theeasyist way to win a game.
just saw ur edit - My answer is now, Wait till november. and if you must find a ebay or similar buyer, once MW:2 comes out im unloading Cod4

Join the club I still haven't got the chance to play a COD game with the exception of CO3 for the PS2 which people say is not a good representation of the game. This is the same as me, I want the game but I'm not to happy with the $60 price.

gamestracker.com is your best friend. I was going to buy it, but I borrowed it off a mate last week and I'm loving it, more so that World at War. Although it is a struggle when you don't know any of the maps and everyone else has been playing them for ages, still I've seen it for around £20-£25 (pre-owned) so I guess that's around $30-35 (although you may have to go on e-bay/amazon market place)
Edit: These were very competitive prices though, I imagine you'll find it pre-owned for a price more around $40.
