so like I notice when I'm about to go to sleep and I'm lying in bed using my phone or when I wake up in the mornings. I can hear something turn on in the Xbox one and then stop a few mins later. This to happen about a couple times an hour. I have my power setting Settings to instant on. Does anyone else notice this? This can possibly be app and game updates but that many every single day?

I've had mine set to resume games quickly or whatever its called. It says its in beta, my Xbox has crashed more then a few times mid game. So I turned the feature off and haven't had any problems since. Maybe turn off the feature will fix your issue.

@XxAK47xX: Even when I turn the Xbox One off For up to several minutes after it makes a buzzing noise as if it's collecting some data after the fact but I disconnected the internet unless it can override and reconnect. It's definitely a weird console.

My guess is probably updates. You can change the power setting so this doesn't happen, but it won't receive updates when it is off, it won't wake up using voice commands and will take a little longer to boot.

I have mine set to shut completely off. When I turn it off. It stays off. If you have yours in standby mode then it's not surprising that it occasionally does stuff. Of course the only moving parts in the thing are the blu-ray drive and the cooling fan. Sounds like you have a noisier fan than I do. Mine is pretty much silent. Could also be the fan in the power supply.
