Has anyone played Two Worlds for a decent amount of time yet? I was really looking forward to this game and kept up with news all through its dev, but after the Gamespot review I'm feeling like it doesn't really sound worth it :(
yea i liked it better then oblivion and thts only because u can get off the questline and do other things im sure if i spent more time in oblivion it would be better but i didn't

I did like everything in both Oblivion and in Two Worlds and I like Two Worlds more, it was more fun.
I know you said for a decent amount of time, but I had a chance to play this game at PAX and couldn't stand it. Something about the game is extremely slow...maybe it's the framerate, how slow the character runs, the bad graphics, or how the combat is just not fun. Oblivion is a much better game, that much was obvious from the 5-10 minutes I spent with Two Worlds.
Avoid it, don't listen to the 2/15000 people who actually like it.

So many people have said it sucked, had tried it 3 different times then finally put over a half hour in and now cant put it down because people are loving this game.
Yea I have and surprisingly it is a pretty cool game. If you constantly try to compare it to Oblivion your going to be disappointed. With that being said it is fun and addicting in its own right. MP is a cool addition as well, but it can be laggy as hell once you get like 2+ people. Other then that it is a pretty decent RPG.
I had an interest in this game at one point, I may still give it a rental to try it for myself. I generally don't decide what I'm purchasing based entirely on reviews. So far, the major complaints seem to be stiff animations and low frame rates. People complained about some issues with Bioshock, but I never found those issues when I played it.
2-worlds sucked i was really lookin forward to that game got it the day it came out and i was SO PISSED i honestly do know what some people see in this game terrible voice acting the blood in that game looks like it came strait from mortal combat 2 for snes and i REALLY tried to get into this game i really did but i just cant its just too bad

I really dont think you played enough to like it enough.
Its relly good for fans of the genre. If you can get past the first 10 mins you'll be good. The first time you play it you will hate it. Give it time and you will love it. It has many fun things to do, and did a lot better then Oblivion and is worth a buy if you really want a game like it.
Blue Dragon was not originally talked about in this thread, and rightly so, because it sucks. But not as much as Two Worlds. I'll be honest, I bought the game, played it for about ten hours, was having a lot of fun, but I couldn't pretend to like it anymore. The sheer amount of bugs that were in that game make me wonder how Microsoft even allowed it. They couldn't have hired any QA testers for this, it's so ridiculously buggy that you can even break the main quest line. At one point, I almost got stuck outside of the game world after going over a mountain I wasn't supposed to. Dead enemies remained standing in battle positions. Some of the gameplay ideas they had were fantastic, but this game should've spent another half a year at the very least in development to smooth out all the problems it had.
I played it. It's a pretty good game if you like old-school RPGs...I got my guy to level 70 or so on my alternate account (name is OMGL0L second O is a zero).

Beat two worlds in 2 days... got to level 50, beat dragons all that stuff... the game isnt that fun just a bunch of button mashing and swinging your weapon... the story is short... save your sister and the world... save your money and rent it... however i am playing blue dragon and the first 8 hours i have played is worth all of two worlds...

I bought it on the first day of PAX and played for a while before I went to the convention center and HATED IT! I wallked by the South Peak booth and gave it the middle fingered salute. Then a strange thing happened. I gave it a second chance and got hooked. Granted the frame rate and voice acting is Joan Rivers ugly, and yes Oblivion is a much better game, but just like the 18 other people it became fun to me.
well I didn't expect it to stand up to Oblivion, but if it can live up to Morrowind,and Diablo as others have mentioned then I'll have to give it a look! Think I might rent it first though. Also as I'm in the UK god only knows when we'll actually get it!
The **** game lags allot and its a Elder Scrolls Rip off i should have not rented this game in the first place! and yea i have played Two Worlds I still have it but I am not playing it unless I get bored!
